Near term outlook for banking not so great...
BANK long term alwasy hv great outlook but their risk in lending risk..the reason we hv Financial capital requirement like BASEL.
i draw a simple layout- let said tiger bank start with 1 branch with 1 million.
meanz the bank can seedz to lend out consumer at 90%. (bank business model)
when the business grow; bank open new branch with 1 million again so one and son with new branch.
bank lend consumer or comercial with loan in return of interest.
at the same time bank allow to take deposit indirectly increace their 1million seed capital to lend out.
We forget the BASEL and Capital provision the bank need to retain.....
the only risk bank business is when lender not able to pay the money bank with asset.
Bank able to auction the hse get back the loan money. Same to SME loan; hire purchase.
Beside bank they also do Investmen bank, Asset management(Unit Trust) and Insurance..
Everyting is provision by regulation and high compliance.
Only problem when the EYE closed RISK; and money loan out without proper asset back or Great business failure
when it fail bank cant clawback any money - then the Non Perfomance loan give a bad impression to bank.
mine 2 sen....
