Argh, 2checkout has a bloody stupid process. I can't access their payment gateway until they verify the website. This means I can't test the payment gateway integration, and people can't make payments online. Doesn't sound like a bad thing right? here's the kicker. They need the website TO GO LIVE before they can verify it. WHAT THE HELL?? How can I launch an e-commerce website without a functioning payment gateway? seriously.. WTF!? Its like opening a store with all the products in, but without a cash register to receive payments from customers

Imagine la, you go to amazon, you choose your products liao. You checkout... and then it says "Sorry, payment gateway not ready yet", that means you cannot make your payment for the products you want to buy. Bodoh or not?

Explain liao, they've allowed me to access the payment gateway for 24 hours to do testing. After that they will close it back, which is stupid because if I want to launch the site, I need the payment gateway to be working, I can't launch without it working!


They just want to make sure the site isn't some fraud website or something. In terms of integration, its my responsibility, not theirs.


Actually I set up the site for them already, public cannot access yet but they can access. The site is fully functional, except for the payment gateway part which I had to disable because it wasn't working yet. They still insist that the site has to go live before they can verify

Memang complaining now, unfortunately if don't use this payment gateway.... the other options are actually pretty horrible :S

I might try to compromise with the client, we do a silent launch just for the payment gateway to see, then once they verify only we do a proper launch. If I have to resort to that, I won't recommend their payment gateway service to clients already.
