Another question here:Torrent and direct download, which one do u prefer?

I prefer direct download,loyal Rapidshare user.Now still using free,as i m student,no money to effort premium.

its kinda irrelevant question n poll, some is p2p torrent program, some is d/l accelerator, while some is file hosting site.
wth file hosting site has to do with wat u use to d/l?

This is not a download manager discussing thread, read the title of the topic,'which one r u using to download file',that means where the file like ur movie downloaded from,is it through direct download or p2p or torrent download manager.

And the second question is,which one do u prefer,is torrent seeds download or direct download.

Anyway,thanks for the reply. biggrin.gif

Ya.Ur opinion is same as me.Torrent is really sux,but sometime have to use them as sometime the file we nid is not provided by Direct download. And if the file is uploaded by free user, and we wil have the risk if the file is big,as the file will be deleted if not download by other user in 90 days. How if we downloaded half of that file and finally teh file has been deleted in the half way....cham!

Ya,limewire is great, can download both video and audio, but for video, the speed is kinda sux,and has a risk on been infected by virus.

Anyway,I like to use it dl music.

The best thing of torrent is,we can find almost everything of the file we nid,but the speed is sux, make me wanna to sleep!

Although direct download is fast, but lack of drama file that I nid,and finally make me hv ot wait in front tv to watch.

Every medals have 2 sides,no 'best' one.

Actually it is popular, the only problem of it is,it is Chinese software, and a lot of annoying ads.

Ya,nid the information here, can anyone link me to download Xunlei software,as very hard to find its homepage, and the pg I found took long time to display, wondering was I went to the right page.

hi,

me too is using rapidshare (premium) and internet download manager, can get to 140kb/s on my 1Mbps connection. Not bad actually. I can download a full movie in less than an hour.

The problem is where ever I click to download rapidshare files directly with IDM, I will ended up with a html file. Anybody knows how to solve this problem. TQ

Reason:
- Reduced the number of applications in my OS
- Fast (never compare with other alternatives but fast enough)
- Simple - I don't need 43289798 functions to download a file

I'm using Cryptload.

Question:
Does IDM work for rapidshare download as a free user? It kept downloading a *.htm file instead of the file which I wanted. Same goes for all other download sites such as megaupload.com, netload.in, uploaded.to, filefactory.com. Can someone please shade some light on this issue?

Thanks! smile.gif

i'm sticking with either firefox's download or just IDM. but IDM sucks sometimes because when you are downloading big files it will totally lag your pc when it wants to merge with other parts.

i use bitcomet last time..but found that everytime when the download goes to 90%++, the downloading seems like cant continue anymore, meaning it cant complete 100% of download, so i cant get my file everytime. I am not sure what is the problem.

Now am using Flashget and Xunlei. Both serves me well.
Sometimes flashget goes faster and sometimes xunlei goes better.
It is quite depending to what is the file you are downloading, i tink.
