Hi..

I am thinking of buying a hair dryer, well, with the purpose of straightening my hair since my hair isn't long enough for rebonding. wub.gif Juz wanna clarify, if i dry aka straighten it using the hair dryer everyday, will it damages my hair ?

Besides, my hair dresser said, if wanna buy, then choose the one with 2000walt. Any other things that i should take notes except this ? Brand, is it important ?

And lastly, should i apply thermal protection for hair if i am doing it ? if yes, what brand you would recommend ? thanks ^^

I've been using the hair dryer for many many years and i still got hair, hehe. It's not that damaging provided you use proper hair products and not point the dryer close to your scalp/hair. Maybe you could give parlux from Italy a try. i've used it for many years, it's about 2000 watts. Pls don't buy the china brand or the fake ones coz it will really damage your hair. Straigtening iron will help you get nicer shiny hair but try not to use it often as it can damage the hair. I have a VS iron and it works for me but i rarely use it nowadays.

I blow dry my fringe straight every morning smile.gif i apply a small amount of Loreal HotStraight as thermal protection before doing so.

To me the brand and power of the hair dryer doesn't mean much. But i guess you preserve your hair longer when you use lower heat settings.

Just make sure that at the end of the day, you always use conditioner after shampooing. I also recommend using hot oil weekly and getting proffesional hair treatments from saloons every once in a while smile.gif

babe

try using hot temp when hair is wet
when it gets damp, turn to cool air instead nod.gif
