FH can grow up to 25+ cm. There's a lot of breed for FH now. There's also the shortbody FH breed.
Minimum tank size for the fish to grow will be 3ft aquarium. If the tank is small the fish couldn't grow big and fast.

How many tower of your trickle filter? What media you using? Can i know the last bottom part of drawer is is left out as
blank drawer?
*
Currently running on 3 stage trickle filter.

1) Mechanical filter.
2) Lava rock | Bio Ring - house bacteria
3) Activated carbon

look for resources in google and youtube where i gain mine. all learning process.

I kept ac. carbon last chamber due to insufficient chamber. Maybe my arrangement not in order. Still learning and my pond running well so far.

Perform 20% water change 2 or 3 days once.

you can DIY own filter for aquarium to house your FH and all depends on you.

You drill the spray bar? The water pump from the pond to the top of your drawer? Where you buy those bulk head?
you need to have lots of hole beneath each of the drawer?
*
Yes, I drilled the spray bar but took it off as want to improve the set up with another idea. (Will post soon)

water input from top to bottom. Did a lot of hole beneath the drawer and had overflow on 1st and 2nd chamber in case either one of the chamber get clogged up.
overflow will flow to 3rd chamber and to the pond. I got those bulk head from hardware store near my place.

2ft enough kah for depth and width ?

Sure not enough to maximize koi's growth. I only have room for that space. Future plan to get a bigger pond build at my yard.

My current tank setup is only 2ft for this FH. Using normal overhead filter. May need to upgrade soon the tank.
The problem with FH is the tankmate.
*
it's common among FH. "It's his tank".

Where you got your FH. I am looking to get on for a decent price.

If you dont mind, your FH price?

Was doing some reading, and im still confuse to get a water heater or not because my local LFS said no need if the tank in a space without A/C.

But how to control water temp when comes to water change as FH are sensitive to temperature.
Please advise.
