Guys, do you know any other alternative to AFKIM?

I was using it yesterday on my slim but it had some graphical glitches (known to happen on slim) and today i downloaded the fixed version. I put the ms in my pc and while copying the computer disabled and renabled the ms. happened for a few times then i got tired and use the usb with my psp. now , when i put the file , it shows as corrupted in my game menu. even if i put another version of the app, it shows as corrupted. What should i do? any other alternative? I use it mainly for msn smile.gif

Why must you use AFKIM as instant messenger? I found out that it's hard for me to input words as compared to eBuddy. For instant messaging, I prefer to use PSP browser and surf the ebuddy.com site, for me PSP's input method is better. My second option is to use PSPKVM (java virtual machine software for psp?) and I install ebuddy on it, but this is a bit more troublesome and it is not recommended if you don't like it. The main reason I love PSPKVM is that it can do multitasking, chatting with ebuddy + surfing net using Operamini(way faster than PSP browser). PSPKVM is a bit troublesome because of its input method, I bet no one is using PSPKVM for multitasking purpose, anybody?

It can multitask? and use Opera ? wow... The main reason i need this is for multitasking. I suppose if im using ebuddy from the browser , i cant browse to other sites right?

Any guides / or if you're free, can you guide me on installing PSPKVM? Or just the first few steps to get it running biggrin.gif

By using your PSP's browser you can chat with ebuddy and surf net too, but you know PSP's browser is soooo slow la... Did you use before Operamini on and handhelds? It's very fast. To download pspkvm, go www.pspkvm.com, there are some guides on how to use it, download the guide there. It's easier if you add me in msn, pm me ur email.

szaku89 :hi... new psp user here... i'm a noob at psp... want to ask you something.
what is homebrew?
what is CXMB?
how can i get them?  icon_rolleyes.gif

Basically CXMB is something like a custom theme and it's for sure more prettier than the official themes. Don't be lazy and do some research on it, google is your good friend! Only for this time I will give you some links on homebrew,
PSP forum - http://forums.qj.net/forumdisplay.php?f=48
go into homebrew section. Youtube helps to, there is where I learn how to install some tricky homebrews, u can find CXMB there too.

finally, done with the sound reactive leds. T_T
i think i've ordered the wrong leds. haha. tongue.gif only 1 lit up, and that only one was smoking.
so instead, i took the whole system apart n just wire them to the sound terminals. laugh.gif
now works like a charm.

What are you doing actually?

By right,it should work just fine. But lets just wait until we have WiMax over here tongue.gif
*
Are you sure you can use wimax on PSP? It doesn't have the wimax antenna in it so how could it receive Wimax's radio frequency?

Well to run operamini you need PSPKVM (to emulate java based apps)

It can multitask as well.. Like you can use ebuddy (the java app) while browsing the web at the same time. I am an opera pc user and when i used it in my psp, i fell in love once again biggrin.gif

My question, Any apps there that can boost the psp music sound?

Also, how do i play music , and browse the web at the same time , thru psp browser? I think that is possible right?
*
I did think of getting music while surfing web before but somehow lost interest on it haha. If there is a java based music player it should do the job.

guide? look in acidmods.com ~ where console evolve... wah... even got promo hahaha
tons of tuto there.. with pic to!
serously its simple stuff.. just need SDHC n usb card reader. n solder it to the memory card point..
so when i put produo, it reads 8GB. take out the produo it reads 16GB.. total 24GB haha...

the led thing r... if dunt have the mod cip just solder it to speaker contact point.. like penmarker said....ez stuff, can be done under 20minute right penmarker?
but hav to bridge the fuse 1st so the mobo allow it send more current, if you dont bridge it, 90% the fuse will burn. n expert say that it can hold up againts 2 led per speaker. 4 also can, but the mobo will overheat a bit... more then that better use the amp

why you need an amp?
well it will help the mobo, so the mobo doesnt hav to do all the hard work sending those extra current. the amp it self will amplify the current.. this means it will not blow the fuse + you dont hav to bridge. means longer batery gameplay.
no only that... you can hav a suiz to control the led 'on' or 'off'

i'm not an expert... just like you all... but hav abit courage to try new things
come2 join modding  thumbup.gif

I m scared of the soldering part. Did you do any training before u mess up with the mobo? Since 4 years ago(form3 that time got solder before) I never tried soldering before...pretty scary ...
