I have a 8GB Sandisk M2. It takes 45 seconds to transfer a file which is 100MB in size, equals to 4.5MB/s. It doesn't seem fast at all, especially when compared to my 1GB Kingston USB thumb drive.

Custom firmware(CFW) is pre-installed in PSP if you buy here in Malaysia(except SonyStyle or any other genuine seller of course). In other words, the seller wouldn't even need to turn on the PSP to install CFW because it's already in the machine. Best Buy in U.S, surely has official firmware only and you are highly unlikely to be able to ask the staff to hack it for you, i believe U.S. has strict control on piracy stuff as well.
If CFW is important for you(you know what i mean right?) then buy it back home is a better choice in my opinion. Since you're using a hacked PSP you won't be able to claim warranty if something goes wrong anyways. |

It works, but my crappy laptop just can't keep up with the speed and the screen keeps lagging, might as well give up. I thought i can just use the screen as monitor but it's not how it works, i guess you need an equally powerful PC to have decent FPS (30-40), and if you have such a powerful PC i don't think PSP is your only gaming platform, not mentioning graphics suck after you convert it to full screen via USB cable.
