One of the prominent features of the PSP-3000 is the updated screen giving more colours and less ghosting. Here’s one problem new PSP owners didn’t count on, scan-lines. This actually makes things look worse than the PSP-2000.

According to a thread at the PlayStation Forums, it is a widespread problem. Sony is currently looking into the problem and hoping it will only take a firmware update to fix. However,Sony has just revealed that it cannot be fixed through firmware update(i guess they screwed up on this one...).

MOMOchacha,yea,that's a known problem.For music freaks,either get a portable speaker,or just sticks to sony's earphones.They're decent,really. (Original ones)

Hi guys,

Some questions of psp batteries.

i'm thinking of getting a higher capacity unit for my slim. Is it advisable to get those 3rd party models or should i stick with the originals? Any big difference in terms of pricing between both?

cheers

well, most higher capacity battery don't really work so it's no point in getting 1..unless u're going for the psp phat battery (it seems they say it does increase battery life a bit) price wise? huge different..price of a original could get u like 3 battery biggrin.gif

Hi guys - am new to the boards. to reward my son for his good performance in school, i agreed to buy him either a Sony PSP or a Nintendo DS. It would be an upgrade for him from his Nintendo GameBoy right now.

Anyone can share which one is better or at least pros and cons? Thanks for your help!

Well,if he enjoys playing games that are meant for kids, then yes,go for the DS.It provides much more fun that the PSP gaming wise, for kids atleast.

If he likes games like football, racing, fighting and so on,without a doubt, you should get a psp. Also, you can introduce him to this forum once you've bought him a psp (If you buy it),where he can seek help from us,fellow psp users.

I just want to tell you that....the psp is BRILLIANT. biggrin.gif
