wetfusion, you think if you mod extra speaker, would it consume more on the battery?
*
yes... but ill find a way to minimize its consumtion. + ill make a switch just like the led mod. so i can turn it on or off. thats mean no wasting energy when the speakers are not needed.

i've found the speakers. only rm18. simple n compact. + pack a solid sound

QUOTE
For the rough calculation, total up all the current required. for the battery mah, i give an example, if battery of 1000mah connects to a circuit takes in 1000ma, the battery finish in 1 hour. So total up all the current (of course u need voltage of the device to calculate the current), use the battery capacity to divide the total current and should be able to see how long the battery can last.

nice try... rclxms.gif u should use approximately formula.but got an amp for the led, something like this=
4 those who dont understand, chicaman assume that the speaker or led use max brightness or sound all the time.
Attached Image

but since the led is blinking, + with the help of the amp. it can last 'about' 4 hours. taking 1 hour from its original batery lifespan.

penmarker:
i dont hav experiance in soldering n stuff... u know, hands on stuff... dip in uitm, u should notice how i know how much the mara giv u each month.
everyday only do calculation is classes... cry.gif

n i hav a bit disaggreement about ur,

1st the speaker wont fit in the umd drive nicely. u hav to-
1= remove the umd driver
2= cut a square hole in the backplate. this is the tricky part since the backplate is holding the mobo. u hav to know which part is holding the mobo.
i dont see u are spraying the backplate, thats mean you havent open the umd door, mobo n wifi wire. (which is the hard part)
see anthonyta all white psp pic as example.
Attached Image

2nd... about the speaker wiring.... emmm..
dunno what to say lor... bt i think it wont sound stereo. as i said last nite on our discussion. better solder it at headphone jack point

dont rush into things.. its nt that simple. so take ur time to do some research 1st.
what i mean with the build-in amp is the circuit that come with the speaker when you open the mps-70.
not the amp is 'IN' the speaker.

ohh that.. still POC (prove of concept).. know that already, but thanks 4 posting it.

so about the speaker mod.
you said u want to wire the left n right speaker separately.
so it will hav stereo sound. n it will... but..
it require=
+2 amp, the problem malaysia dunt hav 191K resistor.
you could use 181K + 10K like this.Attached Image but that takes too much space.
it wont fit under the direction pad space
