5.00M33 is a decent firmware, just as good as all other custom firmwares, but i still want to remain on my 4.01m33-2 firmware.

As for the iso game loading problem that you're facing,it could be something wrong with the UMD mode.Google for it,and then try altering it to see if the game works. If it doesn't,then it most probably is the game itself,as said above^^

MOMOchacha,yea,that's a known problem.For music freaks,either get a portable speaker,or just sticks to sony's earphones.They're decent,really. (Original ones)

Well,if he enjoys playing games that are meant for kids, then yes,go for the DS.It provides much more fun that the PSP gaming wise, for kids atleast.

If he likes games like football, racing, fighting and so on,without a doubt, you should get a psp. Also, you can introduce him to this forum once you've bought him a psp (If you buy it),where he can seek help from us,fellow psp users.

I just want to tell you that....the psp is BRILLIANT. biggrin.gif

jacster,i agree with the PMR bit,but not with the UPSR bit.My dad got me a psp unit once i scored straight A's for my UPSR and to me,it was a brilliant gadget to own.Only then i started learning more and more about the internet, computer and so on.

But other than that, jacster is totally right.

I still love pokemon lol!
I play it on my psp.

It is possible to be done mate, using emulators.
You can run gba, gbc, nes, snes and a couple of other console games on your psp.I've played pokemon before, and it works like a charm.

Here are some links,if you want them :

Go here

There you go.All you need to do once you've got the emulator up and running is to obtain some roms.Just note that it's illegal, therefor, asking links on where to obtain them in here, wouldn't be wise at all.Use your google skills and you'll be perfectly fine.Emulators are like the best thing on the psp.
