If they were to lift off the subsidies completely all of a sudden like that, it;s gonna cause alot of repercussion, i.e. citizens wouldn't be able to cope wit such sudden change.

Well personally i think if the money is channeled back to the citizen to provide better services, e.g. better public transport system, better education system, better medical services, i think it's all good no?
