Well, as a girl I personally feel that using a guys money, esp relying on allowance from the guy is too much. Yes, the bf may not like to see his adorable girl work, but.. the girl should use her own money instead of his.. If he wants to spend her on smaller things like movies, or meals is fine, but not to the extent of giving ALLOWANCE... If the girl can reject the allowance, and instead make her own money, in the long run the guy will appreciate his gf more... whats more, after he graduates and start working the money situation will be more tense and difficult.. He may then regret giving her the allowance every mth.. things like that...
So... as any capable male or female, best to NOT rely on anyone for $$$...
