Hi there,
Just to share you my experience with AKPK.
I sought assistance from AKPK after I was not paid by my employer for more than a year, and the job market was sluggish to land me in a new job. I had to rely on my credit card and personal loan to sustain. My case was lodged in the Labour Office and after a year going after my employer, the labour office said that they cannot do anything... like most government agencies.
After being with them for almost two years. I have gone through a much more difficult situation. AKPK had restructured my debts and collects on the behalf of all the banks that I am tied to. However, during the program... all these banks had been calling me to say that AKPK had been slow in releasing payments to them. I ended up incurring more interest than the amount that I paid off on the monthly basis.
I tried calling AKPK several times to address this issue, but the line had been too busy to get through. I attended their office as well... twice... and went home without meeting the councilor because he was too busy making coffee in his cubicle.
After further incurring more interests and seeing that my total debts had not decreased but only increased since I started on this program, I went to see them again... guess what happened? The councilor was said to have been relocated to Melaka and the person who replaced him cannot provide me with the answers I need. So, I was told to take a drive to Melaka and meet the councilor.. who would probably end up saying that he cannot attend to me because the files are in KL....
That is efficient Government support for you... I am still fuming mad at all these...
Still.. I am left helpless.. Maybe I should write to the governor and c.c to the PM.. tht's how people usually get the needed attention...
I hope this give some insight to those on the quality of service provided by AKPK.
Anyone have serious credit card debt issues?, anyone?
