I played WOW previously without problem till yesterday my pc auto restart due to automatic windows update, after that Im experiencing ridiculous low FPS in wow where it only averagely ~20fps which minimum 14fps and max 29fps with setting of:

- 1680x1050 resolution(22" widescreen LCD)
- everythg max
- both windows vista winxp, but winxp is slightly better with 24fps only.
- Im experiencing music/sound tear too, its like some cracking sound all of the time but the music is still there

my pc spec are as in my signature..

1. i've tried 2 latest WHQL driver for both vista and winxp but it yield the same result.......
2. i've updated my window vista and xp to latest. nth more to update
3. i've close down most of the background application except MSN + utorrent
4. update latest full version BIOS
5. install latest chipset INF
6. i've tried to uninstall 3 windows updated which update my i)framework 1.1.... ii)windows vista security.... iii) update window defender definition

After everythg that i've dont which i can think of, it still no major improvement, i've no more idea wat to do anymore... so i wanna know how much average fps u ppl get who have about the same spec with mine. and if anyone have an idea wat to change or do, pls let me know here

check your UI Mods, or maybe create a virtual pc or install another win xp or vista on a new dynamic partition and copy over WoW and boot into that partition see if its still happening?

have you tried to UNINSTALL (by that i mean clean uninstall, refer to guides on how to do it, google or 3dguru.com? forgot actual url, is a good start) your nvidia drivers and re-install with the latest driver? or, install the latest BETA driver may also help. likewise with sound drivers, do the same as video drivers as previously mentioned.

also what is your load temp on proc and GC during WoW gameplay?

and your last question: for my spec, on WoW. well, lets just say we all know that it overkills what WoW would require.

Playing on Vista Lappie with nvidia 8600m gT card , 3MB ram. No problem on vista unless it's the driver like what Quaz mention.

Unless your IP has changed to a slower one than before?
