US and Oceania server got any different in ping, raid time etc ?

Generally Oceanic servers are still at US, they just time zoned it differently. So to let players have the false sense that blizz actually cared

And i thought Blizz finally given oceanic servers an off peak maintenance time frame..

juz the time not same,plus if u wanna raid morning u make a char is US realm,raid at night u go oceanic server,but try and find a malaysian guild like Loth,their raid time is at 10-11pm night.depends on what you choose.

Err....can I know more about the time of raiding? Need to schedule my time...

The time will depends of each guild, hard to give you some standard time...

You better check guilds individually.

So the raid missions is actually 24 hours also can do?

Raid anytime can do... need 24 other ppl with u tho, thats why guild leader select time..... and u look for a guild that suits ur gear and time

The raids are in specific instances so you don't have to compete with other guilds. It's lock according to the raid ID which locks when one Boss is down.

How long are the raids? May take 30-60 min to get the first boss but the trash mobs respawn usually after an hour or more. Then the actual duration is probably 5-15 min. If there's wipes, then more boss attempts. Most guilds run 3-5 hrs. More than that, it gets tiring without a break.

to me, the ping is still the same since both server are hosted in US...

Any idea how to reduce ping?

Nothing much you can do just make sure nobody is using your connection heavily (like downloading, youtube, p2p etc.)

I personally do not really trust the tunneling services so cannot say much about them.

I usually have around 400-500ms ping for wow which is "acceptable" (I do almost no pvp and absolutely no arena)

I don't mind play with 400-500ms but it's just problem when I want to PvP...tested with trial, memang not smooth enuff with 500ms....
