I thought of fixing my laptop for the most part in carbon fibre. Though I know I can get from rezz, but he do not provide fixing for me, and I'm afraid 2 do it on my own, as I've no experience. Then, like GadDecal, I may get this notebook sticker to stick for the top of the laptop. Anyway, anyone know where can I go for help?

Hey those skins that gadwrap do are really cool. Anyone know how long they last before they start to peel off at the edges or are they 100% permanent forever?
I was thinking of removing my old and tired looking laptop casing and giving it a spray job. However I am concerned that the normal spray-can type paint from a hardward store is not going to look nice, as it might not be 100% suitable for the plastic Laptop casing.
I know some plastics are almost impossible to get paints to stick to (try normal spray paint on water or soft dring PET bottle and you will see what I mean)
Does anyone know if special spay paint for plastics is available and where to get it?
I think also using a special plastic-etching primer is probably critical also.
Does anyone have any experience in this type of mod to laptop?
Maybe I should try and take the caseings (after removal) to place that specialise in painting car or moto plastic parts?
Any ideas anyone?
Cheers PSGuy

Ok. But do you think they'll help us wrap carbon fibre sticker too, if I pass them one?

Oh, I haven't got the stuff yet, but intend to use both to wrap. Or do they also provide carbon fibre stickers?

"But do you think they'll help us wrap carbon fibre sticker too, if I pass them one?" I don't think is is an option.... Have a look at their website, it seems their process is based on the special laminating material they use. Their material has several layers and would be designed to be comptable with their equipment/system. I think you have no choice but to use their materials. Of course they can print the carbon fibre design on their materials for you. I woud like to see some stuff that has been wrapped after 6 or 12 months ofuse, especialy something like a handphone that has been in and out of someones pocket a million times, just to see how the wrap stands up to wear and tear. I hate it when laminate coatings peel!! Cheers PsGuy
