free itunes account work in one way..you can let the program search for all the album artowkr of your music files

and u can actually download from itunes even though your not from the specific countries which itunes is available provided that you have the itunes giftcards

i still not yet fully explore to the free account (still working )

but as what i know we can create account without credit card or other payment info, you can download what you want as long as it's free, otherwise you still need to pay and you can directly create album art on th itunes

Step:

1. get code from this website: http://www.tunecore.com/freealbum

2. after you get the code, copy it.

3. open itunes shop and select US

4. notice the Quick link column and the upper right end, click "Redeem'

5. paste the code

6. choose create account and follow instruction

Aside from album artwork, a US iTunes account also has 2-3 free songs each week plus usually some free videos as well. The free songs can be crap but sometimes they're really good songs.

If you want to actually buy iTunes stuff, then you need to get an iTunes gift card. Search the forums for details.
