State your specs clearly including RAM, PSU and all.
I'd recommend to use BIOS to OC your proc one by one. Get familiar with the BIOS first and all the monitoring and streesing software to test your proc once it is OCed.
And another thing, I don't think 4Ghz is a good thing to run 24/7 even IF you can reach that high.
