Hello, my dog is a shih tzu, usually she will sleep in my room. So my mum ask me to put her clothing everynight. Is this necessary? My air cond temperature is 20~25 degrees . thx

no, cuz my dog she will always stratch on my door, everynight she want to sleep in my room if I dont let her in she will bark. So Im just wondering if she needs extra clothing, maybe too cold for her ? or is the temperature just fine?

i think it is fine with the temperature,shit tze long coat 1 ma,dont worry man.dog wont so easily get cold.so no need put any clothes on it la.lolz

yeah shih tzu got long and thick fur...so no worries

if u 1 2 let her wear cloth can also.. ur dog behavior same as mine..if i dun let him in..he'll scratch n bark also hehe..

When doggie cold, he will snuggle . when he snuggles, then its a sign to turn up the air con .

dogs arent crazy and egoistic. when they are cold they will let u know. dun worry abt it.

Dogs have fur.... fur is their clothing. If you put clothes on them, it won't feel comfortable.

Air cond is fine. Dogs that should have protective clothing is only when they are in cold countries with winter and snow. Do we have that here? No mah.... so there is no need for the extra padding for our dogs.

i wish i let my bulldog live in air cond,lolz.it is too scare of heat.

Actually putting dogs in air cond makes their fur even nicer, it will make it looks more fluffy n healthier.

Every animals have a layer of fat beneath their skin and that fat is the one that is protecting the animal from any temperature. So if the fat is thick enuf, then it wont be a problem for ur pet to b in a aircond room. But make sure U dun put them in a sudden change temperature coz it takes time for them to adopt the tat temperature and building up that protective fat in them. So if u put ur pets alwaz in aircond, u'll c the difference in their fur definitely where they look much more nicer. Actually dogs hates wearing clothes n tat is not their nature of living, its only human demand for it.

That is why when v c European dogs, their fur looks alot nicer then our dogs over here. Its becoz the cozy climate makes them looks nicer and their fur looks much fluffier then ours.

yeah.. since your dog is a shih tzu, don't need clthing with so thck fur. unless your dog is a chihuahua or mini pincher that type.

if your dog is long coat, when took out cloth, you need do comb until whole body should be brushed daily.Dog sleeping at air con room is normal for urban dog owner.

long haired dogs loves cold weather...
so its ookay to let them sleep in the aircon..as the forumer has already said that they have thick fur..it will help to warm them up..
actually..i think that they feel hot when we don't turn on the aircon..hahahaha

They can't stand for more than 4 hours.

I don't sleep using air-cond, so it's fine anyway.

my babies love air con. silky especially. she will first sleep directly where the air con is blowing at, after that when it gets colder she will sleep by my side. as for schnauzer, she is quite scared of cold.

here is my ricky boy when small time. I think almost dog love air con. They can sleep well. body less dog smell.

but he enjoy sleeping on air cond room...
when he get cold, he will sneak under whose ever blanklet...
depend which room he sleeping...

Hope this might help you,i have also a shih tzu dog and she is 2 years old now..Sine she was a pup,she has being sleeping in my room on the bed with me with aircorn on also..So far till now after 2 years of sleeping with me,she did not catch cold..So,it should be fine...Shih tzu coating also is quite long so should be able to stand the coldness =p..

Actually all dogs like cold air...but they aso like sun bathing as well when the hot sun its out.

it's okay to leave them without cloth...my house shih-tzu also leave it like that even after cut short hair...they will try to sleep near you when it's cold...if your shih-tzu cannot reach you, maybe you can prepare a blanket by it side...

yeah...nowaday all dog lovers sleep with their pet in same bed, sometimes i'll accidentally sleep on the shih-tzu too...hahahha
dunno in future we will sleep with our kids or not....

that's a reason why dog sleep in air-cond room fur looks better, that's because when they feel cold, the fur will become fluffy and thick to keep warm... same to winter country fur kids....
