ziphone, +iliberty and winpwn, they all share a similar trait; capability to activate, unlock and jailbreak

however, winpwn offers something extra; you can 'create' your own fw with different pictures, logos etc and it can be done straight from the itunes. on the other hand, ziphone and +iliberty require you to restore or update using itunes first before you can actually perform the mentioned steps above before using the respective softwares.

after my bad encounter with ziphone (corrupting my wifi), i strongly discourage you from using it. thank goodness, it is sorted now (after running some troubleshooting with byte).

if you are not fussy and not intending to 'customise' your iphone anywhere further, +iliberty is the way for you. tried all and its recommended!

After using the latest winpwn .... than my vote goes to winpwn. Now i've been playing with boot/restore logos. But last night i had a close one, it kept on staying on restore mode everytime i reboot. Luckily its fixed now.

Later will post pics of my custom boot/restore logo. Hehehehehehehe. Racun racun.

i Have done some research for some quite time for unlocking and i from what i seen its better to use winpwn since you can create your own firmware with all application you want to install and whenever you get problem with your iphone(app crash or etc) you can restore it back using itunes(shift+restore) with you own custom firmware, that was the best thing i like about winpwn..smile.gif

I not yet get my iphone but i will definitely use winpwn to unlock my iphone.. smile.gif

conclusion is:
-winpwn
1) can create your won custom firmware
2) can change boot logo without restoring your iphone ( using new winpwn software )
3) -( i still research it, dun know if there is another good thing about winpwn... rclxm9.gif )

p/s: im sure all sifu can give best method on which is the best software for unlocking but for me, i suggest you use winpwn.. smile.gif

Cheers.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Ziphone gets my vote. Damn fast, can even restore for a customer at a mamak stall for a mere 10 mins including restore to 1.1.4 and activate, jailbreak and unlock.

Don't use ziphone.

iLiberty+ & winpwn are safer solutions.

ziphone used to downgrade your baseband to 3.9 without your consent when you click the one button solution. not a good thing to do as some functionalities on the new firmware might not be running well with 3.9 baseband. (ijailbreak that uses ziphone method did not even ask for downgrading the baseband) i had a bad experience with this...

winpwn or pwnage tool can let you choose which baseband you want to upgrade to smile.gif btw, with winpwn u can use iphone 2.0 beta fw on you iphone tongue.gif (am using one now)

so for a safer method use winpwn.

not sure about iliberty+ since i never try before.

i did say the one button solution tongue.gif click 1 button an worry free? i dont think so. not sure how good is ziphone but i still prefer pwnage tool

iJailbreak (for mac) which is built using ziphone method doesnt let user to select to downgrade baseband (at least at the time i tried it)

right now i just use pwnage tool and just update it through itunes like normal iphone.
