i have been dying to get a Schnauzer and been to several pet shop, however the pups there somehow doesn't seem to be healthy. Any reason? Aside from that, is it that difficult to get a Black M.Schnauzer? I love the black MS. but will the job of taking care the black SM different comparing to other colors? Last question, any recommended Breeder out there with B. MS??

actually both oso need geh..
just that since ur MS usually stay at home..and when go out..small dogs are usually on the leash rather than being allowed to run freely..so not scared missing or run out of the house by themself..
that's why ppl usually dun buy tag for their small dogs..
whereas those big dogs are usually outside the house...scared run out..
so buy tag so that dbkl wun catch..
if dogs with lisence..dbkl wun catch...they will oni catch dogs w/o lisence.. =)

however..this MS breeder breed dogs with show quality..coz his dogs all oso M'siaCH..
you can get from him 'wayn khor'
but..the price of the MS is very exp..RM2500
but, keeping MS as a pet dun hav to get so exp..
anyways..it's up to u..
but i heard that his this batch..i think now should be around 1 mth plus old dee..is all black..
you can call and ask if you are REALLY SERIOUS in purchasing...=)

i dun dare to strip my black schnauzer ler..
i haven't got the experience yet..
i'm actually planning of taking up grooming course...
but my parents dont allow me to do so..><
any recommendation of where to get a striper?
maybe i'll strip her after she has be clippered..
so at least i have an outline to follow =)

About to strip black schnauzer, It have a step like a map, You can get the Strip Knife at internet and also the skill do strip. it you want easy way using clipper. Later the coat getting soft.

Strip is strip, clip is clip.. after clip so short how to strip somemore? If you strip after clip, need wait the short fur to grow long long.. then there is no more shape for you to follow If you are showing your dogs (you going to enter MKA show) it is wise to strip your dog. Otherwise, just clip it.

ummm..maybe wait until it grow a bit then i strip a bit liddat lo.. >< XP

friedchicken~~normaly ppl do stripping for show dog only....stripping is to maintain the hard coat of ms.....but it takes time.....

stripping will cost u around few hundreds.....haha...so i do not recommend pet ms go for strip since it is not worth as ms 's coat grow fast....

annie~~no....stripping is when a groomer persuade their 2nd level which they ned to choose to be specialized in wat breed......now i m only in 1st level......haha

Thanks... What about caring the MS? will it be different between Black and Salt & Pepper?? for example taking care of the fur etc?? One more thing i noticed, cropping the ears seem very cruel but its still been done here? Is there any medical reason for this?

cropping ears in modern days are mainly for cosmetic purpose, just for pretty..

Caring part, I guess the hard thing to do on S&P is to maintain their white part. For black, no such worries.

yea,i agree what iluv2zz said.black fur is easier than maintain than S/P.
I saw four little cuties in Pet Safari last week,maybe u can go 2 see.they quite active 1,looks healthy.

need advice on their heat cycle..coz this is my first time owning a female dog..
my puppy going to be 6mths old in 1mth plus time..so i need advice..coz i heard the heat cycle is usually every 6mths and last for 3 weeks? o.O
what u guys do when the female dog is in heat cycle???
how much blood come out de? need to change the pad how many times a day? @@

pet safari is in ikano power centre,beside the curve.
my bobo is little gal oso.n now she is 7mths
what i heard is same as u,2 times each yr,last for2 weeks.
but some ppl told me the bloods come out wif urine,not much bloods.
have to isolated her with other male dogs.IMPORTANT!

My MS starts her first heat when she was 6 months, and second heat during her 1 year old bday, and you will see blood for about 2 weeks, and the bottom part swollen after few days of bleeding, and that last 2 weeks. So on and off about 3 weeks?

I just leave my MS the way she is when she is on heat... she lick most of them only a few drops on the floor, just grab a tissue or cloth to wipe it away.

But it depends on individual, because my other girl Sushi, she doesn't lick as much, and can see stains on the floor. I did not put pants on her during the day time, only at night because she sleeps on my bed. I just mop the floor everyday (unless I am tired), and wipe away the stain if I sees it. I will "catch" Sushi and wipe her bottom part every few hours and so...
