hello guys... I've a question here.. I've just changed my car battery on my own and something happened.. The timing was low.. Even when the car is idle, the rpm should be above 500 and the rpm was not stable and when it reach below 500..the car start jerking and then mati engine... When i'm driving and wanna slow down my car near traffic light or at junction, when the rpm goes down, my car will mati engine too.. And another question is, how to set back the time since the battery has been changed?

I had that problem...while coming down from genting doh.gif

few days before i change battery...then suddenly when i went up genting was okay. When i was on the way down, the car rpm goes to below 500 and dies.

It happen a few time. I opened the bonnet, took a plier and twist the battery connector screw really hard until it got a firm grip then only car was okay. Had to rev it higher abit for about 4-5 mins then the ecu was fine.

Try that, or maybe your altenator kong already
and yes, how do i change the timing back? dont tell me must go back proton service center?

hmm..sound like ur car setting has run..usually when changing a waja battery, need to start that car first and leave it running only change..if not setting will run..Just send to some service center which has the computer to tune it back..thats all
*
yeah....i went to a workshop today n the foreman told me that the ecu need to be tuned but unfortunately the foreman which do the tuning works is not around...and i asked him the price..he told me rm80 jz for ecu tuning? is it that expensive? what they will do actually when tuning back the ecu? Another question is, regarding the battery changing, means must start the car, then leave it running like normal then only replace the battery? won't it be dangerous when removing the battery plug since there's current flowing?

Its behind BP..Those new shops..Name is Extreme..right beside G-Pro
*
bro..today i went there...took me quite a while to locate the shop but when i went there...the shop name xtreme was closed and if i'm not mistaken, the shop name was D pro..that's what i saw...and i saw a yellow colour modified waja park in front of the xtreme workshop...too bad..can't go there...instead i went other place that my friend brought me coz i need to use my car badly and i'm going outstation 2moro... I went to another workshop, he jz help me tune back the timing..he jz charge me rm10 bcoz there's no error with the ecu at all..jz timing problem bcoz the way the battery was installed previously was wrong..thats what the foreman told me..
