i play both dota and normal ladder games (melee).

warcraft cant be compared to redalert + starcraft simply because the other two games dont require the management of resources to play well. with starcraft and redalert, u just simply mass units. the greater the number wins.

with warcraft, having a larger army will make u harvest less gold and lumber. which means its a disadvantage (economy-wise) while an advantage (battle-wise).

so warcraft makes u think and plan when would be a proper time to go to a higher upkeep (bigger army).


and for your 3rd point, what do u mean fast?

clicking fast and clicking wrong is two very different things.


does talking fast mean u will talk wrongly?

or does talking wrongly mean u are talking fast?

i think to be good at either starcraft + warcraft, your micro must be decently good.

wc3 can be fast or slow, just like dota can be either fast or slow depends on the players.
wc3 game can take 5mins to finish or even 1 - 2 hrs. dota also simliar right?

u say in dota a hero will die in 1-2 sec.
can tell me how a centaur with 5k life will die in 1-2 secs please?


to be truly good at any game be it dota / cod4 / cs / crysis / halflife / quake or blablabla....
u need to play well and have good tactics. right?
dota only seems easier coz its one hero and not a whole army.
but to be truly good at dota (maybe competition level) u still need good technique and tactics ler.

wc3 can be won with just a hero, or just a tower, or no hero and just units. its flexible.

okay dota has alot of versions. but do u actually play all the older versions?
the newer versions is to balance out the heroes, items and the gameplay right?

and wc3 there are many versions. as all games, there are many fixes to be done to ensure that it is fair and playable.
there are neutral hero taverns that u can choose your hero from.
so u actually have your four own race heroes plus alot of other neutral heroes that anyone can pick from.
this means u can actually have the same heroes as your opponents.
can u have that in dota? in competetive levels?

and btw, blizzard just recently they released a patch for ver1.22.
