A Network Operations Center rests at the heart of every telecom network or major data center, a place to keep an eye on everything.

Some of these NOCs are really dressed to impress, while others have taken a more mundane approach.

So, for inspiration, here is a set of pictures of different NOCs from telecom companies and data centers (and one content delivery network) that we here at Pingdom have collected from around the internet.

Dressed to impress
These NOCs are obviously designed to impress visitors on top of being useful. We dont even dare to think what it cost to build some of these (especially the one from AT&T).

TM (Telekom Malaysia) now handles TMnet services, its no longer a separate company under TM, rather a division of TM.

This TM NOC is same as the previous post.

However, TM NOC is international standard. they are controlling SEA network after Singapore. I believe Indonesia buy bandwidth from us too.

Yes, Lousy routing / bad connection will be route to streamyx user.

just my 2 cents.

Those iMACs are just for display to impress their customers.

Real expert consultants and analysts who work in professional datacentres never touches Mac OS and Windows.

Added on January 10, 2010, 5:22 pmIt's a plain waste of money to use iMACs just to monitor network activities.

The money is more well spent if they bought a 24 inch LCD monitor and "puters" with quad core processors inside.
