Actually is government paying the 1.5k salary. Intel just provide the R&D facilities for u to undergo the training.

Maybe u can contact HR about it. Because maybe your frens is applying different position.

NO, It will appeal for R&D only.
But I believe intel this year freeze hiring for Fresh graduates. I didnt see any GT have been hired.
