Hey guys, does anyone here know about the remuneration + benefits for a fresh graduate facilities engineer (electrical) in intel? All I see here is production/GT/SOC based engineering jobs, that's why I'm asking.
Any hints tips suggestions for the interview process is much appreciated. The work scope is equivalent to my experience+background, so I kinda want the job pretty badly.
The senior engineer who called me (phone interview i guess) seems to be interested in me because of my previous experiences and skillset which matches the job description 100%, but he mentioned that I'd have to read up as there are other managers involved in the real interview session. I'll be travelling from S'ban all the way to Kulim, so I don't want to waste so much of resources to just fail the application.

QUOTE(hercules899 @ May 11 2013, 01:30 PM) fresh graduates in INTEL are all getting standard pay. RM 3000 for non 1st class and RM 3200 for 1st class. Joining INTEL as FRESH do get RM 5000 ( no bonds and whatsoever ) Plenty of other benefits such as 13.5 month salary , Optical Allowances , UNIFI allowances at your own home , home and car loan subsidy. In terms of overall remuneration, its like the Top Package in Penang for fresh . Correct me if I am wrong . Cons : Increment are very low . Thanks so much for the info. When you said "13.5 month salary", do you mean the annual income is 12 months + 1.5 months bonus? Do you/anyone else know any hints, tips or suggestions regarding the interview process? Many much thanks.

QUOTE(MaGNiFiCo @ May 12 2013, 02:58 AM) all i can say is the interview depends on the manager itself. some of my friends got few stages of interview and some just done with one phone call interview well which position that u appled? GT or permanent post? I see, you can say that I've gone through the phone interview with my prospective boss (senior facilities engineer), but he mentioned the physical interview will be done by him and two other managers; hence he told me to read up (didnt mention any topics lol). I applied for Facilities Electrical Engineer, should be a permanent post as it's a limited one. There's only 14 of them it seems in intel.

QUOTE(hercules899 @ May 12 2013, 07:57 PM) Yes, i agree with this. I also got many friends working there, one particular friend just went through ONE phone interview, already got hired . The rest went through at least one face to face interview on top of phone call, some went to the career day organized in HOTEL and passed all the tests there and got hired as well. It all depends on your department and manager. BTW, its 12 months salary plus 1.5 fixed bonus stated in your offer letter. I see, thanks so much for your input. Truly appreciate it.

Boss want to update, I already got offer (FT, not GT) in Kulim. 3k as mentioned, 13.5 month annual salary, optical/dental allowance up to 200, unifi not mentioned, car loan subsidy of 50k up to 3% interest rate. No home loan (for managers only) and no 5000 relocation bonus, it's just half your salary; 1500

QUOTE(kopitiamtard @ May 30 2013, 11:13 PM) seems standard offer increment is 4-7 % mind you Yea I know, I'd rather be FT with standard offers than be in a contract with competitive package as job security is my priority le. And the low increment seems to bring the message 'get promoted or get low pay' QUOTE(hercules899 @ May 31 2013, 12:14 AM) maybe your are Ft, that's why . or they have slashed the benefits . But what I heard right now is most being hired now is contract based . Those started in 2012 did not get a permanent position in 2013 . Yea most probably. The contract based positions are usually linked to SOC design, validation and testing etc etc. Since I have no connection to production, maybe that's why my package is 'standard'. I'm happy nevertheless
