Hi Alex, I guess you're my friend's friend? O_O~ Didn't know you're here!

I passed the interview and they said they are gonna hire me. But I am still waiting for the black and white to be ready. THanks. wink.gif

Erm, the post is a new post and nobody is actually working under me, so no big deal to have the title as a manager. I am just a Bachelor's Degree graduate, not Master's.

I am not sure about how much others receive there but I cannot complain much as a fresh graduate and the salary they offer is within the range I was asking. I know as a green badge I can't enjoy the perks like lunch allowance and also bonus from them. But I take it as I want to learn from MNC though. It's good for my future.

Yup good for a fresh grad but while ur working in there do consider looking for internal job posting. Because most people like you and me tend to believe that if i work under an outsource company i will hv higher chance of getting converted but this all depends on Intel itself. For me i stayed with NCS for 3 years believing that i could get converted but at the end i found out that intel has never consider any perm for my position.

Hi Amelia,

You got friends inside? If yes you can ask them to introduce your sister.

If not, recent openings (according to Intel Career Page), only have IT Support Specialist open that might suits your sister. Other openings are more on technical field - developer, engineering finance etc.

You can look around for contractual job in Intel. Mostly those are handled by outsourcing company.

I can't talk salary range here, as it differs smile.gif.

Ehh?

1)Go to this web - http://www.intel.com/jobs/index.htm
2) Select "Malaysia"
3) There are 2 such openings on page 2.

I'm starting next week.. a bit nervous and excited. smile.gif
I can't even decide how to pack my bags because it's a casual attire environment. (I have a closet full of long sleeve collared shirts)

So any tips for a intel newbie? happy.gif

Just be yourself, you will be fine......I wouldn't say "casual attire". I would say "just wear anything you like, as long as it is decent kind of attire" tongue.gif.

Glad to have you on board.

Ha,

Technically there are 12 buildings and it needs a shuttle bus to transfer people from one site to another. So, it will be "a bit" hard. I will seek other ways to contact you then tongue.gif.

Welcome to Intel anyway.

Hi folks,

How's the working environment for contractors at Intel?

Anyone got converted this year? Mind sharing your working experience with Intel from a contractor's point of view?

Thanks.

Hi all,

I'm already at my 3rd week at Intel as PG-PDE GT. The environment here is extremely FLEXIBLE.
I still did not see any restrictions/rules in working hours, attire, and etc. I'm just afraid of violating
any rules by accident.

Another problem that bothers me is that people here barely communicates with one another, except
for work-related issues. Mostly stay at their cube, and chat thru IM. Even my cubemates barely
have normal conversation with me. Is that a norm at Intel Penang PDC?

Any advice for a new GT at Intel?

That is the norm, people talk on im even when they are situated adjacently. And emails are for everything, from AR's to picnics.
