lklatmy,

Is there a way we can check who is dumping currently or at End of day? The announcement in KLSE is like 1 week ago.... 23rd vs 30th
*
No, we depend on Bursa,Bursa depend on the company, and the company depend on the major shareholderto make the announcement.

But there's a dateline,can't remember what's that dateline.

Just got this piece of news:

Dowjones News

DJ MARKET TALK: CITI CUTS GAMUDA TARGET TO MYR2.57 FROM MYR3.00

0135 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: Citigroup cuts Gamuda (5398.KU) target price to MYR2.57 from MYR3.00 after removing earnings contributions from Vietnam's property sales over next two years. Cuts FY09 earnings estimate 27.3% to MYR432 million, cuts FY10E estimate 36.4% to MYR537 million. "Reflecting the sharply deteriorating macro picture, rapid jump in the inflation rate, and severe plunge in the stock market, we are turning more cautious on Gamuda's property venture in Vietnam." Tips more downside potential as house's forecast cuts haven't factored in potential delays in double-tracking project; notes Vietnam property sales delays could also mean company would need to rely entirely on borrowings to fund initial infrastructure outlay. "Coupled with the delay in the sale of SPLASH, chances are Gamuda may have to review its generous dividend policy." Keeps Sell rating, says valuations not compelling. Gamuda down 6% at MYR2.80. There is a pop-up window if the price keyed in is more than 5 bids(figure can be specified by the user) from the last done price. The problem lies with the person, not the software cry.gif  cry.gif
I am referring to the Broker Front End system that we are using.

If the mistake is by the remisier, than the Remisier has to pay.If the client keyed in through the internet,it's the client's resposibility.

On the issue of error, there was a big mistake in the trading of KNM-OR today. While the price of KNM_OR was only around 2.32,someone keyed in to buy KNM-OR at KNM price and about 200,000 shares were matched at RM4,another 2,000 shares at RM6.

The estimated loss is around Rm450,000.

One of my colleague who queued to sell 3,000 units at RM 2.50 for her client got matched at Rm 4.instantly made 4,500.

The buyer must be facing big big problem now. cry.gif cry.gif

I keyed to sell to the buyer almost instantly at RM6 on seeing the trade, but still missed as the buyer withdrawn.

It is quite difficult to catch the fish, unless you are the lucky one who had queued to sell earlier. laugh.gif

In fact, some of the news already being speculated in the afternoon and thus, the weak market sentiment in today's afternoon session.

Even the proposed increase in electricity tariff was rumoured in the late morning, and hence, the increase in price of Tenaga.

As today's market has already factored in some of the effect of the announcement, tomorrow's market may not tumble that bad after all.

Just my two cents.

So let me understand this, if ROA or return on assets is more than 9% only will be levied?  Hmmm looks like YTLPOWER will not be affected by this then. But still need to confirm the detaisl because I really don't understand how they will count it. As in assets in the power industry only or entire company assets.

I'm also interested to know the mechanism of windfall tax on plantation companies.

Could anyone in the know please enlighten us?

QUOTE(aretla @ Jun 10 2008, 11:30 AM)
after bonus shares is given... is the share price of the counter will be revised?
take an example now... VS is giving out a 4:1 bonus share..ex-date 12/6/08..
the price now is 2.98...
so after the ex-date.. how's the price will be revised?

thanks for answering in advanced. smile.gif
*
The bonus is 1:4,not4:1,lots of difference.

The calculation is quite easy, your purchase price is the numerator, and the total number of units held AFTER the bonus issue is the denominator.

So,if you bought at 2.96 for 1000 shares, you cost is RM 2,960 (not including the charges)your cost after the bonus issue will be:

2960/1000+250 =2.368 per share

The therotical ex price is calculated the same way, using the closing price on 11/6/08.

QUOTE(cherroy @ Jun 19 2008, 11:02 AM)
Simple, buy the one that is cheaper.  tongue.gif  laugh.gif

Pbbank & Pbbank-O1 are the same shares, same entitlement and right, only difference is on the eye of foreigners. In the eye of Malaysian, both are the same. Theorectically over the long term, Pbbank-O1 should have more value because of the 30% limit. Short term wise, if foreigners want to 'cabut' -O1 can trade some discount to local one but it would be short term effect (can last for year or years, based on 1998 experience) as if O1 is much cheaper than local, it makes no sense to buy the local one.

Pbbank-O1 can be converted to Pbbank and vice versa also.
If Pbbank-O1 doesn't exceed the 30% limit, foreigners can buy Pbbank which then convert to Pbbank-O1 (until reach 30% limit). On the other hand, Malaysian can buy Pbbank-O1 then convert to Pbbank.

I did it a few time back during financial crisis time, because Pbbank-O1 (last time called Pbbank-F) was always about few ten cents cheaper than the local one. So buy Pbbank-O1 then take the shares to register, come back as Pbbank-local already.

But since CDS being implemented, I haven't done it because there is no or only have little price differentiate, so I don't know how to they implement on this registration issue. Convert straight away or what? I don't know.
So have to check with them if really want to make the conversion between.

Just some of my previous experience but I don't know current situation, so I bare no responsibility on above statement if situation not the same.  tongue.gif  smile.gif
*
I remember there was something in the Capital Market Master Plan introduced few years back where one of the proposal was to do away with this "F" thing.Since then, the premium of the F shares dissipated.Don't know what really happen to the proposalnow.

On the conversion of F share to local, under the current CDS system, you must first apply to withdraw the physical script from Bursa Depositories,re-deposit it and if you are a Malaysian, then the holding becomes local.Anyway, none of my client has done this before and I may be wrong. whistling.gif
