How good is it you think the course?

Unitar is not the best Uni though but I must say that I'm glad to be a student from Unitar. Very flexible timetable, that's what I love the most. Some lecturers are pretty good. So far, my lecturer never even once absent without notice. I absent without notice got la. Well, you just have to get the right lecturer when you register for your course every semester. Get into the good lecturer's class and you'll be good.

ohh.. hope so i didnt choose wrong university this time. cos i'm failure which rejected by local uni too.. i'm 6th former with CGPA 3.0 for stpm 2007. And will be taking Bachelor of Accounting at unitar this year.. can i become MIA member after finished graduation? Intend to study to master level at utar afterwards

i read d newspaper today said got intake 18 to 20 july. mean i must register on that date and send in my academic cert before 20 july ??

their systematic process quite professional and we'll choose our own timetable which suit our time..
and one thing, their condo is superb beautiful. i've rent one of the condo which provided swimming pool.
and opposite of unitar is oldtown coffee, kelana mall and Giant hypermarket.
i've chosen bachelor of accounting Hons. at least, quite standard than i've imagined.

Which year of you take STPM? FYI, i'm 2006 STPM candidate.
I also get rejected from any local U last time, so i end up taking a job. But now i plan to restudy again.

yea have already called them, they said if wan register software eng need go to KL main campus at kelana jaya. they cant help.

That's very kind of you. I'm kinda late for the UNITAR intake this month. Well, i think every kolej oso got its good and bad side, who knows. Actually, how often does UNITAR have an intake?
Before this month, they already have intake for last May.

Yes . Erm...About the fees, i think rate per hours mostly refer to those who are taking open entry courses or those who are not taking full time study.
This is what i though, i cannot confirm about this. Maybe someone here from UNITAR can explain?

aiyo . How u know u type wrong? After i registered, they just sent me one acknowledgement letter only, without my data inside.

But no worry bro, u still can go to their place there at mid august, i think.

Im graduated from UNITAR in 2004, (Kelana Jaya), taking Bac Information System (hons). In term of recognition, no need to worry, based on my experienced you can work anywhere (Sdn Bhd Co., Cooperate Company, GLC, Multinational co.), no issue at all. My first job is in Software House company, 2nd job with Bank, and now the 3rd job i worked at one of the GLC.

Now UNITAR has been fully owned by UMNO and fully backup by Government, so i think it will be better in term of education quality and funding.

I'm STPM leaver on 2007. Then straight away studying at unitar after failed to enter local university.

who interested in any part time job pm me...

yup..Unitar still the best..though it got some part that people really dun like..money ( fees)

and well..everything now used money maa... If u dun want that kind of xpensive fees..

back at my time at unitar, everything u must do by ur own self.. from study to finding accomodation... much more different from other IPTA/IPTS.. my 1st year is the worst!

Still, not to say its a bad experience, Its kinda good to develop ur what we call inner self development.. to become more mature and know what to do by ur self on ur own..It makes what I am rite now..

Of course the UNITAr Management nowadays are far better compare 4 or 5 years.. but it give me experience which is i cherish and use it as a guide in order to pursue a harsh world nowadays.. cewah!

Yeah, I'm current student of UNITAR. Also feel it's superb suckz(about the UNITAR itself system). But only can meet some leng jai here then lecturers also helping us to pass the subjects lots. Not bad AT ALL.

UNITAR = UNIversiti Tak Ada Ringgit. Yes! Damn right I'm flaming UNITAR. Lousy study area, lousy internet, lousy IT dept, lousy lab (p4? wtf? is this the stone age?) bullshit politics (since taken by C4 related body), can't surf this and that, can't ssh, can't open anything with the string "game" (even game development website), can't download unknown extensions (who the f*** blocks .deb? security issue my arse!) WE F*****' PAY their lousy annual fee dammit! Can't they even give us a decent connection? One lounge to fit 'em all is it? Here's THE infamous finger to you! 3 years of my time wasted!

When is the Next intake of Unitar other then the May intake??Plan to study IT There..Any pros and cons about this Uni as in teaching method & lecturer's??

Pro lecturers available in Faculty IT but IT very hard to study d wor.. My friends doing assignments, quiz and presentation til crazy! I also seldom bother UNITAR which date got intake in May. Try to surf www.unitar.edu.my then. Teaching method in Faculty of Business Admin I know but not sure in Faculty IT wor.. I can intro my guy friends to explain to u if u want.

But now all new students auto adjusted to Conventional Mode like other university did. Some more, I did not use internet in student lounge or workstation since 1st sem I been studied here. Use house's wireless better than there. Only can use normal Search Engine not go to social network lar, okay? UTAR also will stricted u from those websites. About the annual fee, not only this uni other university students also have to paid their respective annual fees as well. If could, u try study at Sunway if many complain.

ya other then may intake unitar also got july intake. I'm taking B.IT in unitar, here will offer the professional certificates to take too and is call EC-Council professional certificates which is about the security, and i been selected to take this certificates for free too if i manage to pass the stage of the certificates exam in the end i will get that professional certificates. study at here is quite ok but the management system not that good and some of the lecturer also not good to teach but i think all university also the same too, sure got good and bad lecturer.

Please refrain from being ignorant. You clearly have no idea as to what I am implying to. It's your loss dude. Maybe your parents paid those fees to study so that's why you won't feel a thing for not using what you paid for.

Who ever said about social network sites? I'm an IT student and I'm planning to develop a game in the future, hence the need to look at game development websites. And a *.deb is a linux file extension. Why block it? Simple. They have no idea what it is. I have no objection against blocking social sites (though I still can facebook somehow.. ....). Anyhow, if they can't provide a decent internet connection, then stop wasting our damn money for this so called "annual fee". Don't get me wrong. Of course they can't abolish the annual fees. Instead, why not improve the service? Don't tell me where to study. If I were the Masters of the Universe, I'd already turn back time and go to some decent university. Plus, if we're talking about UTAR or Sunway College, we'd posting in other threads don't we? See, I (and possibly others too) don't give a rat's ass about other u/colleges. Were talking about UNITAR, not UTAR, UKM, OKU, UMW or whatever. Imagine this scenario:

Guy bought a car. Guy wasn't satisfied with it and complained and ranted all day long. Car dealer say "Go buy yourself a better car la!". The problem is:

1. Guy already paid for car.
2. The car ain't cheap.
3. Guy pays for car alone.

This is your attitude, really.

Oh, also, is there some sort of caste (kasta) in UNITAR for conventional and distance learners? Like conventional > distant? I don't see the point you mentioning "But now all new students auto adjusted to Conventional Mode like other university did."

I meant the management and their system, not good enough, always insufficient of lecturers, hiring external lecturers and we as the full time students (Conventional mode) HAVE TO follow the part time study plan! WTF!

What happened to this university?. Heard before UNITAR change to UNIRAZAK but still using the name Universiti Tun Abdul Razak and been bought by Yayasan Pintar and become Umno University. But recently heard that Unirazak been split into two, which are UmTech and Unirazak in KL. What just happen? Is UmTech (formely known Unitar Pintas Campus) have different management and own by whom actually and why?
