Hi all the Westie owners here,

I am so late to know about the thread for Westie in Malaysia. I had a westie too named Snowie and she is 3+ years old now. Here are some of her recent photos.

Thanks for the compliment. Maybe she is naturally born like that. She got not much rough outer coat and colour like shiny pearl white. It can be the dog food I feed her.

mine wif rough coat and he is currently 5 months+.. According to the pet shop owner the fur will change and grow thicker when he reached 1 year old.. Is that true?? btw, wat are u feeding her? which brand of kibbles?

For my case, when she was puppy the rough coat is more but now less. I am feeding her salmon fish cause she is allergic to chicken. It is eagle pack.

Hi there,

Most welcome, glad to be of help. Yes, please do some homework before bringing your puppy home. It will help save you from a lot of trouble, and frustration.

Where are you getting him from if you dont mind sharing and yes, we look forward to those photos.
This community seems to growing well since our time. smile.gif
It ranges from 1.8k - 5k depending on quality. The size is small.
We will not know and it depends on how much you trust the pet shop owner. Is it a reputatable shop?
Somehow, I seen this photo before. Did your dog breed with Celestine's Momo (or was it Morris)?
I feed Natural Balance, Evanger, Back to Basic - these are my favorite brand of kibbles. Some westie fur didnt grow thicker one but a lot do. Dont set your expectations too high, most westie locally cannot have fur like those you see on Scotland.

Ya. She mate before with Momo. I know his mother quite well. smile.gif

My Heidi's ears perked up much later in her puppyhood... read that westie puppies have floppy ears... and will perk up when they grow..

Hello! Which groomer you send your little darling to? Heidi goes to Pet Safari (Adrian) and sometimes YeeLee (freelance). I know Seapark Pet Supplies used to have  group of groomer that does a very good job for westies... but they left.. anybody have their contact details?
*
I sent her to Pet Tales at Tmn Desa(Old Klang Road) now as they let the student cut for free grooming. Pet Tale's owner is my friend and ask me to help as she need westie to teach her student. She is still looking westie if anyone of you interested I can hook you guys up for free grooming. Before that I sent her to Doggie Shop at Hartamas. She is a owner of 2 Westies too and she did a pretty good job. smile.gif

it is quite difficult to get westie in malaysia.if you have the budget maybe you can consider to import from taiwan. it cost you about rm5k including shipping.
