I havent got much time with my dogs lately so the maid and my younger sister look after them.
My sis told me that Casper does not let anyone touches his tail. Well, he had just gone through neutering 3 weeks ago and last Sunday, we brought him to the vet to remove the stitches. It didnt occur to me as if it's a lost of confidence issue due to the neutering may possibly make him feel something missing.
I tried to lift his tail upwards, like a happy dog, he tries to avoid me touching it. When I stop him from moving around and pull it up gently, he whines as though he's in great pain. When I calm him down, he stops whining. Then I let it go and pull it up, some times he whines, some times he dont.
I even tried to yank it harder a bit, show no response of pain. I mean a tail is quite flexible so I tried to turn it around a bit and some times that makes him whine nad other times not, no particular pattern.
I am leaving town for this weekend so I wont have time until next weekend for the vet. I dont think this is something serious but what I'm curious to find out is does the whole neutering process really cause the dog to lose so much confidence in himself, that his tail portion of his body becomes so private that you cannot even touch it without him whining?
Do advise.

My Westie is 1 year old.. and her name is Heidi. Naughty girl and loves attention. She is very adorable and strong!

Yea man, seems like our westie community is growing.
I just went to Ikano to pick up Marquis's MKA cert. Bought last year Merdeka, today baru received the cert. Hahaha...
Welcome teaspoon.t, post more pict of Heidi. Do share where and how much you bought her for.
