i understand that you're using Canon PowerShot S2 IS. doesn't it have a macro mode?

You should further under it to get better blue sky. Then use a softbox or umbrella to flash the flower. Then you will have good exposure on both subject and background. cool2.gif

I'm using macro and supermacro (forgot which one of those two was it).

This is frustrating. All the photos I took were never properly exposed when I thought they were, after checking the LCD screen. I can't seem to use the meter thing properly.

Do show me your orchid shots! biggrin.gif notworthy.gif
