The only choice we have here is the IMAX-sized screen at BTS, which I'm not sure has 3D, or the usual 3D digital projections in the usual GSC/Cineleisure halls. Assuming the IMAX screen is hopeless, which is the best altrenative?

yah, i also want to know which is the best place watch avatar in all it 3D glory.

which is why JC failed. sure its was entertaining in grandeur, the moon, the sci fi, the effects....

but the movie didnt move emotions of the viewer, well very little impact, well maybe to some when grace died.

did we rally in our hearts that we were on the indigenous people NA'vi againt the human invader's when watching?

i'm sorry, i know many of you are gutted that not all are in favour of the JC's Avatar, i wasnt even made to  hate the charater of the Miles Quaritch (supposely film's main antagonist) as oppose to maybe district 9's
Colonel Koobus Venter (many of us cheers when that character got ravaged by aliens in the end.

sure, avatar may boss their position at no 1 at box, it's however not on my list of rememberable movies in years to come.

go ahead, watch it in 3D, & be awed by the movie technical effect brilliance's.  cool.gif
*
the plot is paper thin, but still should watch it the see cinematic history being made.

this movie's CGI tech beats Transformer 2 to the crap flex.gif

plot wise is still ok to me, thinking of getting raped visually by Transformers 2 and 2012 this year, this Avatar is doing just fine
*
i think watching Transformers 2 and 2012 it is your brain that get violated over and over again.

they (hollywood & the main players) are betting piracy is unable to complete satisfactory the 3D movie experience.
*
the hollywood exec ever learn, pirate will be able to pirate anything, every technology they have to prevent piracy have been broken in very short amount of time.

but now the problem is more on the movie theater ability to give a complete 3D experience.

James cameron will tell him that if the special effect level in avatar is available in 2001 he would not have waited so many years to made it.

to properly compare box office need to adjust for inflation. ticket price have increase a lot since titanic. Gone with the wind is still the number one box office of all time if adjusted for inflation

In the old days the TV was still in the womb and people had nothing better to do than to watch GWTW like 10 times. Plus people went to theaters to get their news broadcast.

Today you not only have your blurays and dvds, but also movie piracy, so no, it's not very fair to compare.
*
also need to consider last time much less people can afford to go to the movie and there is less number of movie theather arround. in the last few year the ticket price have increase quite a bit so Avatar is still far behind the number of the ticket sold compare with titanic.

it is not a good comparison but people also like to refer to list of all time box office base on the amount it earn in box office, it is very unfair to compare new movie to movie made decades ago due to ticket price.

Watched Avatar yest. What a Stupid boring movie. It is nothing but a CGI movie with linear boring story lines. Arrows vs Machines? common u need more variety of weapons than just that. ican easily list 10 reason bad about Avatar. Totally overrated movie. I am truly regret to be part of the contribution to its no1 world title.
*
well it is still better than most blockbuster movie like transformer 2, a least the plot while paper thin still make more sense that 2010.
