The sheer amazing CGI looks great in HD... But I'm afraid it won't be fully appreciated on a traditional cinema screen.

There is something familiar about Allan Koay's review of Avatar in today's Star newspaper. There's two paragraphs where he says the 3D isn't simply gimmicks where they're throwing things at you... I have read it from somewhere else, cannot remember where.

Not bad competitors... This movie has no rival at the moment. The closest movie with this kind of special effects is Star Wars Episode 3, and Avatar's special effects are light years ahead of it.

It amuses me to see the newspaper print quotes from this forum for promoting Avatar!! Lowyat.net posters are easily impressed... Any movie even a bad one like Transformers 2 is commented as "BEST MOVIE EVER!!" following by this icon

Check out today's Star newspaper, one of those poster advertisements for Avatar in Section 2.

Check out the Chinese newspapers for the Avatar advertisement - they have the same advertisement with the LowYat forum quotes but translated into Chinese.

Mahathir you scumbag, you know Avatar is not real, right?
Dr M says 9/11 attacks staged to hit Muslim world QUOTE “In September 2001, the World Trade Centre was attacked allegedly by terrorists. I am not sure now that Muslim terrorists carried out these attacks. There is strong evidence that the attacks were staged. If they can make Avatar, they can make anything,” |

I thought in secondary school there is a subject called English Literature where you've to read some of the novels... Surely you'd have come across Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland! Or at least seen the Disney animated movie...
