If you watch in 3D dont sit too infront in the cinema. Seat row J and above is better. You can concentrate better coz the depth of field is much clearer that way. I know this coz i watched 12 times already.

I don't see in what sense Avatar is making fun of the Malays?

Watched Avatar for the third (and final time) at 1U GSC in 3D on Friday. Next viewing will be on Blu-Ray.

I can seal my approval that Avatar is 'the' movie with the best visual effects in a feature-length movie. It will not be surpassed for sometime unless someone out there comes out with similar visual effects production technique and/or use the awesomeness of Weta Digital.

Watched it first time in Digital 3D, the second in normal screen, then the third again in Digital 3D. Digital 3D gives you the most amazing clarity and the lack of subtitles for English>Malay just makes the screen absolutely clean. The Na'vi language is also in English and not Malay like in the non-3D version.

First movie of 2010 - - Avatar (2009)

Next maybe Shutter Island, and undoubtedly The Lovely Bones.

Finally got opportunity to watch the 3D version, and I must say, what an beautiful n unforgettable experience it has been. Felt it James Cameron has did it again like how metropolis or king kong did to the viewers back on the 30ist, or most recently how Jurassic park shock n awe viewers back in the 90ist.

So apart of the "been here done that" plot, it is easily one of the best movies of 2009, or perhaps, the last decade. But best movie of 2009? Nah, i giving this to District 9 or Hurt locker.

I might watch this a third time, just to check out the 3D in different cinemas here. I think I read in a post that there is no surcharge for the 3D glasses at cineleisure? So it costs only RM12 there?

I will choose the middle row this time, to see if the depth of field is indeed better. Twice I watched from the 4th row, by choice, because I always thought 3D will work best if the screen fills your entire vision. But the depth perception left a lot to be desried.

It's RM 17. Another RM5 for the glasses.

I watched it for the 2nd time in MV last week, my friend chose the 3rd row from the back, and on the side. Wasn't pleasant at all.

Like i said last time.... JC moto for making a movie....... "tell a simple story, but tell it beautifully".... avatar rocks.....

simple words and plots are more understanding to watch and faster to catch up and follow the story...rather than confusing and difficult plot to understand... not meaning that people who watch avatar are stupid, but it actually give the viewer a relaxing moment to watch it (after stressfull work at the office)...even me and my colleague that working in engineering department love the movie...even my bos with PhD in material metallurgy graduate from manchaster uni also said this movie was very good to watch, and he watch it 2 times aredy..... 1 in 2D and 1 in 3D..... notworthy.gif
