Hey guys, sry for borrowing this kopitiam thread for my friendly debate with Strayfah . Just need to clarify a few things...

As I've mentioned many times before in my previous posts elsewhere, differet people have different playstyles. While you may be good with an AK, I've seen quite a number of gamers who utterly sucks with the Kalashnikov but owns with the G36c (most probably because of the gun sway difference between the 2 weapons).

Now, back to the sniper's sway.

I'm comparing M40 with R700 only coz all semi auto snipers are banned from tourney:
M40
Damage: 70
Damage amplifier: Head (1.5), Neck (1.5), Torso (1.1), Stomach (1.1), Limbs (1.0)
Rate of fire: 70 rpm
Gun sway
adsIdleAmount = 40
adsIdleSpeed = 1.5

M40 ACOG has the same sway as the stock version but damage is increased from 70 to 75

R700
Damage: 70
Damage amplifier: Head (1.5), Neck (1.5), Torso (1.5), Stomach (1.1), Limbs (1.0)
Rate of fire: 70 rpm
Gun sway
adsIdleAmount = 60
adsIdleSpeed = 1.5

As you can see, the damage amplifier of R700 is greater than M40 (1.5x dmg to torso instead of 1.1x). The beauty of IW is that they know how to balance their weapons. Since the R700 is superior to M40 in terms of dmg, the weapon is given a heavier sway than the M40 (60 instead of 40).

Now, lets say if you remove sway from all sniper rifles, M40 stock will be made redundant in the face of R700 and M40 with ACOG will utterly crush all the sniper rifles out there. So where's the game balance? It'll be just like another Counter-Suck (sry, I really dislike that game ) where everyone runs around with AWP instead of carrying a variety of weapons with unique features that fits their individual playstyle.

I believe that I've already tried out promod and it's not exactly like CS. However, taking away the characteristics of the game would be actually detrimental to the game itself. If possible I would like to stand up against the rest of the countries like Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore. Hopefully once we have a community larger than all of them combined will we finally have a say in these procedings.

They have picked Pro-mod as their standard mod. =(( Sadness.

In Promod, a sniper rifle kills in a hit, be it M40 or R700. And you can't use attachments in Promod FFS.

You talk like it's easy to snipe. Do you have any idea how good you have to be to actually make full use of a sniper in a game?

And maybe you should tell us why you dislike CS so much. Do you fail in aiming? No offense, just a question. Because you're arguing about rifle gunsway which hardly affects accuracy if you know how to control the recoil.

There's a reason why most countries use Promod and not PAM4.

If you're using the 'I don't want this game to become another CS' excuse, then you win this debate because I'm not going to waste my time convincing the entire community how the game isn't like CS because in the first place, IT'S A FKN FPS. SO CAN I SAY IT'S LIKE CS ANYWAY?

The rest of the world is waiting for us jackasses to start moving to promod. They are the ones leading we're the ones that are far behind. So I ask, do you all want to be left out? FsN has chosen to play this FPS as an E-Sport. The road to international stage will be grueling but I assure you if we persevere and take the challenge now we'll be ready to step in when called upon. To fight the best in the world should be our goal as one of the largest growing Pan-Asian cod4 communities.

lol i dont mind playing any mod anybody throws at me. if its the way to the top then ill do it AND make it =D
(this has nothing to do with tequila.....seriously =P). I give myself about 4 - 5 more years of gaming. Ill do anything to go pro internationally =D. But come on dont you wanna play the game the way its suppose to be. The PERKS are the only thing that makes the game the way it is. Not the guns.....any damn game has guns. So yea, I WILL play pro-mod if its the last resort. But if i could do it without usin pro-mod, ill take it anyday =D. And to add....sniping in promod is weiiiiii harder without the sway =P (thats what i think =X)

why do u guys think that promod isn't balanced? it is. i mean, just have a go with it. take an ak or any weapon of ur choice, and see the difference. does no sway make it easier for the other opponent to shoot u bcoz ur too used to with-sway? no. it just makes it all BETTER. not worst. it doesnt make the game easier at all, ask a noob to play and hes still gonna be suffering. just a little bit of gettin used to is required, then u'll see that its not that of a big deal after all. i still think that most people havent really try it, so here, a few servers with promod.

just go play a few rounds with all the weapons and such if you can, there isnt really any reason to deny that it is better than pam4 or even the default cod4.
