 The iphone "iphone" could not b restored. pls Help, iphone

Hi ... guys... / iphone expert ++ ...

Pardon me, but i really have a BIG problem here.

My iphone hang after installing the bosstools app ... it just stay at the apple logo ...


i have tried to restore it using itunes, but even with itunes, there is a message say:

the iphone "iphone" could not be restored. an unknown error occurred (1604).


anyone who has the same problem? could you please kindly help?

kick it into dfu mode, using ilibery or the good old home and lock button. then restore.

it happened to me when one of my applications crashed, i hope it helps

Thanks so much for sharing guys...

at the end, i managed to solved it by trial and error using combination of ziphone application and itunes restore. things looking alright till now.

anyway, thanks for sharing. cheers.

I need help guys, restored to 1.1.4 again and it showed me Error 1602, removed my SIM and press Sleep/Wake+Home button didn't do the job. What should I do now?

Can you access the iphone functions? If yes, try turning off auto-lock (change to "never") in settings. Then reinstall itunes and try to update again to 1.1.4

The thing is I'm stuck at Connect to iTunes screen. Tried the method still cannot. cry.gif

Hmm.. have you tried using different USB ports or a different computer? worth a try

I have tried, but I use iLiberty and use the Jump Out of Recovery Mode. It seems to work, but when I wanna restore to 1.1.4 again... then it shows the error 1602. How come? hmm.gif
