So far ok i updated with thumbdrive..dono why Sony pulled back the firmware..hopefulyl my system does not screw up..in gma e XMB is laggy though..hope Sony will fix that.

Has anyone experience lens problem when playing dual layer dvd or normal dvd which is burned from PC? Im using my PS3 for blu ray strictly now scared to use it for normal DVDs.

Guys im downloading an avi. HD-DVD Rip file encoded as 1080p Xvid MPEG4 with AC3 5.1 audio..will this play on my ps3 or do i have to convert the video/audio to play it? If i do have to pls direct me to some tutorials..Thanks !

UPDATED AND......all ok! Lucky 2.40 never gave my problems though..in game XMB more smooth now..should be safe for everyone to download! cheers.
