You're 2 updates late bro. The last one was 2.36..

My advice is everyone who already updated their PS3, just don't use it too much right now, or to be safe, don't use it until a new update is provided.

No need to downgrade, I'm sure Sony will release version 2.41 very soon. It could be a dummy update file as 2.41 but with 2.36 data. Or a new fixed 2.40 as 2.41.

Just be patience.

Guys, you can't downgrade the firmware.

The best Sony can do to quickly resolve this problem is to re-release a 2.36 firmware masked as 2.41. This way PS3 will recognize it as new update thus allows it to be installed.

Rghit now just sit back and wait for a while, don't risk your PS3 with hours of gaming yet. Sony is sure working their ass out to fix this.

To turn the controller turn off you need to push and hold the PS button longer.

As all of you already guessed, I know nothing about games. So need your experts to help me on this.

That said, my wife kind of like playing games now. She likes those games like Sims, those Yahoo! games about weddings and stufs. Is there any game of that kind for PS3?
