Hey it is in-game XMB! which means that you can now access to mail box and friends list without even need to go out from a game that you're currently playing, just press PS button then it will immediately pop up the XMB menu, you don't know it? It is kinda convenient and long waiting for all the PS3 users, man thumbup.gif

Some more the new firmware inclusive of the trophy achivement stuff, jut like XBox 360, it is also a nice addition to PS3 as well rclxms.gif

Just download fw 2.40 from console yesterday..

So far so good, nothing problem arise (or perhaps "yet"....)

But i kinda found out that in-game XMB sometimes quite laggy a bit. Hope the later fw will resolve this minor issue.

in-game XMB slightly lag after fw 2.40..eh, i was a bit worry already since even Sony has official revert back to fw 2.36..

What happen to those that already update with fw 2.40 (like me)? Waiting our PS3 to be blackout sooner or later??? Takut ni...

Sony cepat fix this problem to avoid chaos among the gamers lah..

Oh yeah.. so.. those of you who managed to install 2.4 without a hitch, you guys gonna revert back to 2.36 or?
There was a dude on that playstation forum who said he installed it fine, played on it for like 7 hours.Stopped.Then later on switched it on and popped in a cd to play, and the PS3 died. sweat.gif

The problem is, how to downgrade to fw. 2.36? Aiyo don't scare me lah, looks like i don't dare to switch on my PS3 now while waiting any further notice from Sony...yesterday i also play as normal after upgrading fw. 2.40....

Hmm i don't know what's the big deal with the slow/laggy in-game XMB?
at least they gave us the in-game XMB no?

I'm not complaining the laggy issue of in-game XMB, but instead the risk of bricking/ blackout issue facing by some of the PS3 owners hmm.gif Even those like me that experience no problem after upgrading fw. 2.40, but you don't know when it may explore, you know? (as claimed by some owners that after they update new fw., play first time is ok, then 2nd time just blackout without reason etc...)

Those nice red rings made me buy ps3 laugh.gif

That's also the reason i choose PS3 instead of XBox360 rclxms.gif
