Uncharted was one of the first games i wanted to get... but until now i havent bought it...

for those already upgraded to v 2.42 then no need to upgrade to v 2.43 ( like u said it useless )

but if u not upgrade the firmware yet , then v 2.43 kindda worth it...and yes v 2.50 coming this month ( late october 2008 ).

Just have to update. Don't need to re-download.
Although I wouldn't be suprised if Sony tells everyone to re-download HOME again for those who are already in the beta though.
Current HOME version is 0.98. 1.0 as many has speculated will be the public release.

Apparently, the new Core-80GB PS3s only have 128mb of Flash memory as opposed to the older PS3s(60GB, 20GB, 80GB B/C, 40GB) which has 512mb of flash memory(in 2x256mb config).
