call tmnet and ask them to change your port in the remote dslam

last time mine also...after a few hours using the net my snr margin will drop...have to switch off/on the modem to get good snr again. when going to rain or raining...100% snr will drop and the line will keep disconnecting.

now after the tech change my port at the dslam...my snr is 99.8% stable at

US Margin  29
DS Margin  31

sunny, rain, thunder...snr always the same.

erm... TM got changed my port before, but the snr margin still not a constant value, why huh? sweat.gif

Excuse me, how do you switch your IP?

I'm on the 208.211.xx.xx, do you have to call TMnut to change stuff?
Thought it was my connection problem but seems like this is an overall nationwide crisis.

F@ck it, I think I have enough of TMnut! Why don't they ever offer something that is concrete and true to their claims!

You can't. The IP is random.

You cant really switch it but what you can do is to reboot your modem (aka disconnect and reconnect again)
This way, you will be assigned with a new IP address by the DNS when you establish a new connection though it is based on your luck for the IP that you will obtain.

I think most of you guys haven't tried other broadband providers yet such as Maxis. If you do have the chance , please go ahead and try it. Compare it with your streamyx. If its better then move on otherwise stick to streamyx. For most of the gamers , its better for you to stick with ADSL !

Yes using the net = to our ISP convenience not ours. Well finally got a customer support to make a report regarding the DSL signal fading in and out after like 8+ hours. I love how they came to my place to fix my connection and left screwing up my SNR margin. Well by tomorrow this should be sorted out i hope as their sending some kindergarten techy to the DSLAM then my place.

Well 1month and connection is always brilliant after 2am their still monitoring my status for the last 16 days now. My net does seem a whole lot better though than 3 weeks ago but has someway yet to go before it's finally fixed. I was hoping the direct link to US to happen by end of 2008 but sadly it looks to happen only in 2009. I just hope after that fix they don't find new excuses why the connection sucks but i ain't gonna hold my breath i know they will find a new way to shoot themselves in the foot again doh.gif.
