Wow 1st timer to foreign country detected  biggrin.gif

Anyway, there are 3 nearby MRT passing thru Suntec..City Hall (just walk thru the underground mall), Espanade & Promenade. If u dun like MRT u can use the bus or taxi too. & the visa & atm..sure why not..they will very happy accepting those thing..more income to the Singaporean banks..

Woodlands MRT Station is not beside KTM station at Woodlands checkpoint.  Need to take a bus there.

KTM station in S'pore:
1) at Woodlands Checkpoint and immigration:
bring all your luggage down, "chop" passport and board the train back.  Unless you plan to alight there.

2) KTM railway station at Tanjong Pagar.
final stop for the KTM, alight here if you are going to town area.

Going to Suntec City from Tanjong Pagar KTM Railway station:
1) Walk to Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, 15-20mins, take MRT to City Hall - Not recommended.

2) Take SBS Transit bus no 10, at bus stop just outside the Railway station.  Alight at bus stop opposite Suntec City along Nicoll Highway.  If not sure, ask the bus driver to alert you when reach.  Bus fare by cash SGD 1.20.

3) Take SBS Transit, bus no 97, bus stop outside Railway station.  Alight at bus stop at Suntec Convention Centre, Temasek Boulevard, bus fare by cash SGD 1.20.  (97E, bus fare 1.70)

Good luck!

Big thx for the guide. I think i will take bus no.97 to suntec and back to Tanjong Pagar KTM station with bus 97 too...As i check from web, the bus 97 will stop at opposite of Tanjong Pagar KTM station if i take it to back from suntec. Do i able to walk cross the road to proceed to KTM station? Because google map show there is a car expressway between KTM station and the opposite bus stop. Just worry that i will miss the train if i want to back at the same day i come.

i want to ask is it cheaper to take bus from KL direct to singapore, or take bus from KL to JB first, then JB to singapore?

And JB budget hotel is cheaper or singapore budget hotel cheaper if include the fee travel between JB and singapore by bus?

It depends. Are you going to stay in city's centre area? Or stay with friends/relatives, which if they are on northern side like woodlands, admiralty, sembawang, yishun, Ang mo kio, will be faster if u get down at woodlands.

Also, for convenient sake, if you drag big luggage, you need to bring down at JB immi if take 170 or the yellow bus. If take express bus from kl, don't need to take luggage down at JB.
Then you have to queue after JB immi to board 170 and pack with other ppl with your big luggage. You can imagine is like u drag a big luggage at KL Bangkok bank to board buses during peak hours.

SG immi, all hampalang lungjung have to drag down.

For first time, I'll advise take until SG.
If adventurous, then on the way back, goto Beach road take 170 to Larkin and buy ticket there to KL or other destination.

Normally I just carry a small backpack with a set of clothes only. Coz got stuff keep in SG, so I can zig zag very fast or run between immi smile.gif

i will be stay in city centre area, as long as it is near to MRT if at singapore or near to bus station like larkin or jb sentral if at JB.
