where can I get the form for entering sgpore?
*
You mean SG embarkation card ? You can ask from bus-counter (Larkin). If they don't have, then you have to get it at the SG immigration when you walk-in there. Waste couple of minutes to fill up the details.

If super-long queue, just get a few empty cards, queue first, and while standing, slowly fill it up (need dexterity like Mr. Bean).

Remember to always bring a pen while traveling. I prefer a ball-point (no ink smudges).

Just made a trip to S'pore for a two day one night trip using the causeway for the very 1st time. When we arrived in JB,we ask some direction to the Woodlands/checkpoint compleks n we were told to use the Johore City Centre way. From observation there were lack of signbrds n ppl in the compleks were also not that familiar. We did manage to arrived at JB Sentral n try to ask some Malaysian Tourist officer n a policemen on duty but they were not much help neither. Finally when we pass the Malaysian custom again we were not sure which bus lane to take across the border. Two lines of lanes were provided but without much info n when we ask some bangla guys that mans the stationary booth we were told to wait at 170.We took the bus without paying but we did managed to go across. Finally we reach S'pore in one piece.Btw if happen in S'pore make sure you ask the right person or ask another person just to double c'firm.Either we dont speak Singlish or too much forieigner r found in S'pore.

First time is like that. Once after 2-3 tries, you'll get the hang of it.

Normally from JB, I prefer 170 at Larkin. Stop at JB immi, get down, cross JB immi, queue up any 170 and board again.
Then stop SG, get down, cross SG immi, queue up 170 and board again, make sure choose the right one (Kranji/Queen road).
Then normally I get down at Kranji MRT.

Every time board, must tap EzLink. Before get down, tap again.

Very true as it was a last minute without doin any homewok.Comin back was much easier as we took the bus from Bugis street n Prince something depot as adviced by the hotel staff.Took the yellow express bus back to JB.Next time would know how to about it and also less walking as well....... biggrin.gif

Another easier method I use is, from kl, buy bus ticket direct into SG. But must ask which bus company uses Causeway, instead of second link.
Don't get down at Larkin, some will detour inside to drop passengers. The bus driver will ask this question somewhere along the journey. Don't be Jakun or Kiasu tongue.gif just answer where you'll get down later:
- Larkin
- JB custom
- Woodlands
- Beach road

Ride until JB immi, get down (no need take luggage)
After cross, board back same express bus. Cost already included.
Then get down at SG immi (take all stuff)
After cross SG immi, then is your option to:
A) board the bus till SG Novena or Beach road
B) Walk out to woodlands Seng Seong supermarket there and take cab or bus
C) switch to SBS 170 Kranji bus below SG immi, get down at Kranji MRT and take north-south line to continue journey.

Cost is slightly higher due to express bus until SG. But at least don't need to queue and pack with ppl between JB-SG.

Ok, the above will be troublesome to people ...

Also, don't play play with express bus driver... U say beach road, but after that didn't board after woodlands doh.gif
Inform them if you do not wish to reboard, otherwise they'll wait and search for you and waste other passengers time.

i want to ask is it cheaper to take bus from KL direct to singapore, or take bus from KL to JB first, then JB to singapore?

And JB budget hotel is cheaper or singapore budget hotel cheaper if include the fee travel between JB and singapore by bus?
*
It depends. Are you going to stay in city's centre area? Or stay with friends/relatives, which if they are on northern side like woodlands, admiralty, sembawang, yishun, Ang mo kio, will be faster if u get down at woodlands.

Also, for convenient sake, if you drag big luggage, you need to bring down at JB immi if take 170 or the yellow bus. If take express bus from kl, don't need to take luggage down at JB.
Then you have to queue after JB immi to board 170 and pack with other ppl with your big luggage. You can imagine is like u drag a big luggage at KL Bangkok bank to board buses during peak hours.

SG immi, all hampalang lungjung have to drag down.

For first time, I'll advise take until SG.
If adventurous, then on the way back, goto Beach road take 170 to Larkin and buy ticket there to KL or other destination.

Normally I just carry a small backpack with a set of clothes only. Coz got stuff keep in SG, so I can zig zag very fast or run between immi smile.gif

i will be stay in city centre area, as long as it is near to MRT if at singapore or near to bus station like larkin or jb sentral if at JB.
*
If first time or not familiar, I suggest take the bus all the way into SG.
Check where it is near. Some KL-SG express buses stops at Beach road. Some at Golden Mile Complex. Some at Novena Square (MRT).

there was one time i used express bus from kl to sg, when reach sg immi, then we came down..walked through immi..then when came out, the bus gone sad.gif we were like stupid still waiting and waiting thought where was the bus.. luckily when we asked, the other bus driver there asked us to use their bus for free to continue the journey to beach road ..really unforgettable experience..  sad.gif

Ok, for express bus travellers, always ask for the SG white-card (immigration card) when at KL bus counter on that day, or ask from the express bus driver.
Remember bring a pen.
Fill up while on the way inside the bus or at rest-area.
Don't waste time fill up when at SG immi only.

2nd, don't waste time at immi there slowly take own time go toilet, eat some bread, drink milo, hang around, 6c6c, ... everyone will be rushing to get across ASAP.

Also, as stated earlier, the bus driver will ask where you want to get down. If they don't ask, remember tell the bus driver/attendant while you are getting down before SG immi there.

hi all! sorry I got a bit of a noob question. I am sorry if people already asked before but I tried using the search keywords function cannot get. If I enter singapore I exit for one day to go JB can I go back in to singapore? Do I need to stay in JB for a minimum of 5 working days or something? I'm having malaysian passport. Thanks!
*
No need. Can be done. Proper way is fill up the white-card 1-2 days duration, then enter SG, then exit to JB.
When want to enter SG again, fill up X days again.
I assume you are traveller and do this maybe 2-3 times only. And not go-in, come-out repeatedly on weekly/monthly basis.

What I do is get a stack of white-cards, fill up all of it and leave some boxes empty. You can songlap a stack at SG immi there tongue.gif
All write 14 days, go in, come out.
Repeat 1-2 times, before go back KL.
Applies for tourist only.

bro, if let's say stay in JB's Tune Hotel for 3 nights, then enter sg in and out on daily basis for 3 times, should be no problem right? in the white card, the address in sg, where should i put then since not stay there..

lol..thats true...all run like mad..even try to rebut the first place in the q.. now learnt the lesson... biggrin.gif

Address just leave blank, days put as 1.
i.e. understandable it is day trip.

No problem 3 days in/out repeatedly, for tourist.
But if continue like that for >2 weeks, confirm one day will kena.

Try check out how much is the Sentosa Casino bus-coach at JB. They bring you all the way there, if the cost is cheaper or no need pack like sardines or not.

About the rushing queue, it's quite the same everywhere in the world.
Try HK airport. Or HK-China border.

the sentosa casino bus-coach, where they take the passenger in jb? i am thinking to use the tune oddysey bus which operate from tune to sentosa, rm25 return trip..is the price expensive?
*
Expensive or not is relative to each individual preference & tolerance.

170 bus I think costs about <S$5 return trip from Larkin all the way to Queen street.

hmm...true...direct from hotel and back to hotel is so much convenient...for the day trip to sg, can claim back the gst or only can claim in airport and using flight?
*
Someone mention earlier in this thread, GST is claimable at Changi airport only.

Anyone who has fight/rush in 170 bus before, will know the tolerance/acceptance level tongue.gif with/without luggage.
