Very true as it was a last minute without doin any homewok.Comin back was much easier as we took the bus from Bugis street n Prince something depot as adviced by the hotel staff.Took the yellow express bus back to JB.Next time would know how to about it and also less walking as well.......

Another easier method I use is, from kl, buy bus ticket direct into SG. But must ask which bus company uses Causeway, instead of second link.
Don't get down at Larkin, some will detour inside to drop passengers. The bus driver will ask this question somewhere along the journey. Don't be Jakun or Kiasu

just answer where you'll get down later:
- Larkin
- JB custom
- Woodlands
- Beach road
Ride until JB immi, get down (no need take luggage)
After cross, board back same express bus. Cost already included.
Then get down at SG immi (take all stuff)
After cross SG immi, then is your option to:
A) board the bus till SG Novena or Beach road
B) Walk out to woodlands Seng Seong supermarket there and take cab or bus
C) switch to SBS 170 Kranji bus below SG immi, get down at Kranji MRT and take north-south line to continue journey.
Cost is slightly higher due to express bus until SG. But at least don't need to queue and pack with ppl between JB-SG.
Ok, the above will be troublesome to people ...
Also, don't play play with express bus driver... U say beach road, but after that didn't board after woodlands
Inform them if you do not wish to reboard, otherwise they'll wait and search for you and waste other passengers time.

i want to ask is it cheaper to take bus from KL direct to singapore, or take bus from KL to JB first, then JB to singapore?
And JB budget hotel is cheaper or singapore budget hotel cheaper if include the fee travel between JB and singapore by bus?
It depends. Are you going to stay in city's centre area? Or stay with friends/relatives, which if they are on northern side like woodlands, admiralty, sembawang, yishun, Ang mo kio, will be faster if u get down at woodlands.
Also, for convenient sake, if you drag big luggage, you need to bring down at JB immi if take 170 or the yellow bus. If take express bus from kl, don't need to take luggage down at JB.
Then you have to queue after JB immi to board 170 and pack with other ppl with your big luggage. You can imagine is like u drag a big luggage at KL Bangkok bank to board buses during peak hours.
SG immi, all hampalang lungjung have to drag down.
For first time, I'll advise take until SG.
If adventurous, then on the way back, goto Beach road take 170 to Larkin and buy ticket there to KL or other destination.
Normally I just carry a small backpack with a set of clothes only. Coz got stuff keep in SG, so I can zig zag very fast or run between immi
