USS (if you are refering to universal studio) and casino is at Resort World in Sentosa. For hotel in Resort World, you can try Hard Rock or Festive in Resort World.
From Resort World, you can access to the main attraction on Sentosa island, or alternative you can stay in Sentosa, visit the www.sentosa.com.sg
For shopping you can go to vivo city, which is just outside Sentosa. www.vivocity.com.sg

You may want to try New Changi Hotel, nearest MRT is Eunos. 6 stations from Pasir Ris.

The budget hotel nearest to USS are Frangance Hotel - Royal and Frangance Hotel - Viva.

Hotel 81- chinatown is near to MRT which is good for travelling around.

There is this hotel just newly open for less than one month.

However, I don't think it has a swimming pool etc.

You can take the MRT from Terminal 2 at Changi Airport to Orchard.

hello all,

will be celebrating new year at Esplanade Bridge, but my hotel is in Farrer Park, do u think MRT will be open until 1-2am?

if not, do u think taxi service is expensive after 12am?

i saw in google map, if we want to walk, walking distance is around 40min, do u think it's safe to walk on the road at 2am?

thanks for feedback smile.gif

Normally, the operating hours for MRT will be extended during the Christmas eve and New year eve up to 1.30am last year. However, I have not seen any news on the extended operating hours for this year yet. I think they will only announce it when coming near to christmas.

With regards to taxi, you have to pay additional 50% for midnight charge and additonal $1 for public holiday charge. Not cheap.

To walk, Singapoe is relatively safe to walk at night. I will not hesitate to walk if the distance is not too far.
However, having said that, low crime doesn't mean no crime.

For christmas countdown, you can try Ngee Ann City at Orchard road.
Normally, they will have performance outside Ngee Ann City follow by the countdown.

anyone can suggest a parking places in Bugis area?? anywhere i need to park for 3 days, what is the charges ? BTW i'm staying in South East Asia Hotel.
Thanks all Bro.

Ya, South East Asia Hotel do not have their own hotel parking. One suggestion, you can try to park at any HDB/URA carpark and tear coupons.

For those parking lot that stated $0.50 /half-hour (those with white border), the parking rates is $10 /day. For others, for example, for those parking lot that stated $1 /half-hour (those with yellow border), the parking rates is $16.50/ day. Note it is per day and not 24hrs block.

Refer to this link,
http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10327p.nsf/w/...cument#Wholeday

You can find those HDB/URA parking lots at Queen st. However, since it is within the restricted zone, meaning yellow parking lots.

For those white one, you can find at Liang Seah St or Tan Quee Lan St, behind Bugis Junction
