Hi everyone....I am going to Singapore by AirAsia (LCCT-Changi Terminal 1) soon.

I plan to buy some branded goods (clothes, belts, shoes etc) from Singapore for my own personal use and would like to ask a few questions regarding the GST claim.


1) How am I supposed to know which shops around Singapore, especially Orchard Road shopping malls would enable me to claim the GST?

2) Is claiming GST significant/cost effective? Say for example, would buying duty free goods at the airport save me more compared to buying them from retail shopping outlets and then claiming GST from there?

3) Is it troublesome to claim GST? I've been to SG many many times but this is the first time I plan to claim GST.

4) Would I face any problems with customs in Malaysia if I were to bring back this goods? As in, would I be taxed and what not?

Yep. Aware of that. It's supposed to be 7% but then after deductions due to commission and whatnot it'll be around 5.5%-6% only.

Which Zouk in SG? There's a bar and a club. And what advise do you want? If you're bringing your girl there make sure to watch her all the time. SG guys like to approach girls so much more than MY dudes.

Yep. That's the club. The biggest section which plays house music is the best place to go imho. More spacious. If you go to the mainstream one it's like packed like sardine. Can't remember the names of the different sections though sorry.

Nobody can answer my question about GST in SG? :\
