if not wrong, tigerairway will provide free shuttle service from budget terminal to T1/main terminal, others i dunno
*
The shuttle service is FREE for all, coz it's provided by the airport, not the airlines. It's a 24hr service, runs between BT and T2.

Not sure whether this is the right place but I shall give it a try...

Other than Orchard Rd, does anybody know where can I get a decent selection of shoes; casual / sneakers type? I heard / read that Far East Plaza and Pacific Plaza have lots of shops selling shoes. Is it true?

Thanks in advance...
*
Ya, lot's of shoe - non-branded, probably imported from Malaysia. Besides, Singaporean would come to Malaysia to buy shoes!

as I exit singapore with my car, they charge you for your toll charges. i used second link so its $9.20 for 2 way, 1 in, 1 out. DO TOP UP YOUR AUTOPASS BEFORE YOU LEAVE OR YOU HAVE TO PAY A PENALTY OF $10 LIKE I DID sad.gif

anyways, i've a question. when i inserted my autopass at the checkpoint, my car plate was displayed on the display screen that shows the amount left in my autopass and the charges inccured. am i able to use this autopass registered under this vehicle when i drive into singapore using a different malaysian vehicle (different car plate as the one registered with my autopass) ? No.

how would they know I'm driving a different vehicle anyway? lol. sigh. sien. means it's 1 autopass for 1 vehicle eh. alright thanks for the info biggrin.gif
*
They would know, the autopass cash card is embedded with chip, got vehicle number. It is stated in the T&C too, you'll kena fine if it's different vehicle.

Last time, I keep just enough money to pay toll, the "extra" balance in the cash card I used at 7-11 to buy newspaper and drinks before I leave S'pore - coz I know I probably won't be driving the same car back to S'pore and I don't want to keep the cash card with $$$ in it. FYI, the cash card can be used to buy things and pay car park fees too.

Any sifu can confirm that Tuas Checkpoint arrival zones before entering Singapore is open 24 hours?
*
Yes, 24hrs. Border security is very important to S'pore.

Here's the link to checkpoint:

Singapore taxi charges double after midnight? anyone knows>
*
Not double, but 50% more.

Singapore taxi -all kind of surcharges: peak hour surcharge(35%), midnight surcharge(50%), CBD surcharge, public holiday surcharge, location surcharge(eg pickup from the airport). Passenger also bears the ERP fee.

How bout Sporean buffet ? Any nice one ?
*
Quite a few nice one, esp those at the hotels - Hyatt Hotel, Pan Pacific Hotel, Shangri-la Hotel, Marriot Hotel. Cheaper buffets are at Swissotel Merchant Court, Rendezvous Hotel, Amara Hotel, Phoenix Hotel.

Then, the most economical of all, and not in hotels is this restaurant chain called Sakura international buffet restaurant, got a few outlets.

Personally, I do not find GSS that great, mostly stocks for clearance kind.

I would rather go for Robinson/John Little sales, esp worth it for member.

wanna buy tripod and camera accessory..wondering if anyone know where good place to get in singapore??
*
1. Cathay Photo at Peninsular Plaza.
2. Alan Photo at Sim Lim Square, and Funan Centre
3. MS Color at AMK

These are the 3 shops that I go to. All have their own website, check it out. And if you know exactly the model, get e-quotation, print out and bring to the shop.

However, things are cheaper in Malaysia now...

Hi,
I'll be going JB with my gf for a quick part time job on coming Saturday. We're planning to go over Singapore for a short trip ( 1 night or 2 night). Can u guys recommend me which is the best hotel 81 (I guess it's the most affordable)? How about the things we should do over at singapore. Rm500 budget enough? Thank you.
*
If you have a place to stay in JB, then maybe you could consider just go over to S'pore as day trip. RM$500 is about S$200 only, barely enough for one person.

thanks for the info.is it far from uss??and what is the cheapest public transport?bus or mrt?
*
I guess nobody in Singapore would complaint about being "far" coz most of the places are easily accessable by public transport. After all, Singapore is not big la.

If want to go to USS, take train to Harbour Front, or take bus to Vivo City, then another bus to Resort World Sentosa.

In general, if you know which bus to take and which stop to alight, then bus is cheaper than MRT. However, if it's long distance, bus journey may take longer time than MRT.

Got to expect a lot of walking when in Singapore.

I am asking for good halal food lah sweat.gif if google they sure give a lot place but I want sedap punya makanan
*
Most likely where the local Muslim goes too, which also means might be a bit out of the way for a tourist.

I would say Restu Seafood Restaurant at Bedok North, which is a halal restaurant serving Chinese Food. We go there with our Muslim friends. And the mee soto at Adam Road Hawker Centre.

If in Orchard area, can try Sakura Cuisine at Far East Plaza.

It's true that Google can get a lot of places, but you can further Google and read on peoples' Flogs.
