I see, is Woodland MRT station just beside KTM Singapore station? Because i decide to take KTM KL sentral station to KTM Singapore station but I cant find Singapore KTM station on google map...Is malaysia CIMB and Maybank ATM card can be use in Singapore? since there also had cimb and maybank in singapore...just worry i will exceed my budget and need extra money.

Woodlands MRT Station is not beside KTM station at Woodlands checkpoint. Need to take a bus there.

KTM station in S'pore:
1) at Woodlands Checkpoint and immigration:
bring all your luggage down, "chop" passport and board the train back. Unless you plan to alight there.

2) KTM railway station at Tanjong Pagar.
final stop for the KTM, alight here if you are going to town area.

Going to Suntec City from Tanjong Pagar KTM Railway station:
1) Walk to Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, 15-20mins, take MRT to City Hall - Not recommended.

2) Take SBS Transit bus no 10, at bus stop just outside the Railway station. Alight at bus stop opposite Suntec City along Nicoll Highway. If not sure, ask the bus driver to alert you when reach. Bus fare by cash SGD 1.20.

3) Take SBS Transit, bus no 97, bus stop outside Railway station. Alight at bus stop at Suntec Convention Centre, Temasek Boulevard, bus fare by cash SGD 1.20. (97E, bus fare 1.70)

Good luck!

Big thx for the guide. I think i will take bus no.97 to suntec and back to Tanjong Pagar KTM station with bus 97 too...As i check from web, the bus 97 will stop at opposite of Tanjong Pagar KTM station if i take it to back from suntec. Do i able to walk cross the road to proceed to KTM station? Because google map show there is a car expressway between KTM station and the opposite bus stop. Just worry that i will miss the train if i want to back at the same day i come.

Hi, take bus no 196 from suntec city to Tanjong Pagar KTM station.

From Suntec, the bus stop is the one along Nicoll Highway.

At the railway station, alight at the bus stop at Cantonment Link. It's only about 6 or 7 stops from Suntec. The bus goes along Shenton Way, when it moves to the right lane close to the traffic light, it's time to get ready to alight(bus stop is immediately after the right turn). I'm sure you can Google Map and see,. Also, Google for SBS Transit and see the bus route.

Added on November 17, 2009, 10:54 pmI just had a look at the web provided by vkeong. Wow, same as I suggested, bus no 196...

I'm going down to singapore on dec 12 to fetch my bro from changi airport (he's coming back from US and stopping in changi. Flight arriving midnight). Planning to go down from KL in the morning and go jalan jalan awhile.

Question is, since it's been awhile since i been in singapore (the last time i was there was almost 10 years ago) i thought of just driving down using the 2nd link and then park my car somewhere near a MRT station and use the MRT to go around. Any advice on where to go once i pass the 2nd link checkpoint? Also, from second link to changi, do i need to get those ERP tags or something (watch from movie that to drive in singapore need to get those tag thing). Frankly, i'm quite a noob about this... If only the ticket back to Malaysian doesn't cost an extra USD 400... a

For information re driving into and out of S'pore, ERP, etc, check http://www.lta.gov.sg/

What airline is your bro flying with? Since he's arriving in Changi, alternate choice is to get a cheap Air Asia ticket to fly back to KL..

"Please produce your valid road tax disc and vehicle insurance certificates when purchasing the Autopass Card. "

It's at Lorong 4 Toa Payoh, Block 85C. Take MRT to Toa Payoh MRT station and walk. Or there's bus from Orchard Road to Lorong 4 TP.

No problem.

There's one more link on the parking fees at various shopping complex/building. I've seen that before, wait till I find it, very useful to check for cheap parking, esp Orchrd area.

Hmmm, maybe not all pure white??

The China "white card" comes with yellow-colored header and the Macau one comes with blue-colored header.

I keep one Egypt "white card" as souvenir - white card, background with faint colored picture of pharoah...

Thanks for the respond, but go where and buy from whom the autopass card?

How about duty-free products like wine?
*
I remember arriving at the Woodlands Checkpoint, there are sign board to direct Malaysian car, without the autopass to the correct lane. Shortly after "chop" passport and custom check, there's also sign that direct you to the office to buy the autopass card. There are designated parking lot, park your car and walk to the office. You may ask the immigration officer if you are not sure about where to get the autopass.

About the duty-free products, so far I have not heard of anyone driving thru entitled to buy liquor - usually it's the at the airport thing. But you may check out the DFS (Duty Free Shop) in Singapore. There's one at Millenia Walk, another at Orchard Road (er, if it's still there).. Pls google for DFS.

Darknite, drive from Pg to Sg? I've done that before, with my sister, that time to pindah back all my barang-barang in Singapore.

Here's one useful site, I've been trying to find it back, aiyah, all this while I bookmark under "my favorites", and forgot(baru spring cleaning):
http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onem...tml#quickaccess

Check under the Road Conditions menu, esp useful is the Parking Rate, ERP rate. Eg the Parking Rate in Orchard area, a table shows all. Look for those per entry rate... Ha ha..

i dn't know ...that's why i ask
aren't SG got 3 terminal?
same like kk and kl....got 2 terminal...and pretty far away

Changi Airport T1, T2 & T3 are linked by sky train. Jetstar & Air Asia - T1. Only need to watch out for Firefly, Tiger Airways & Cebu Pacific Airway, these 3 use Budget Terminal, a separate terminal that needs a shuttle bus from the main terminal.

There's an official Changi Airport website - if you required more info.
