Its not thar far actually. Try reading the ikariam boards more often, it helps you build up.

Points are calculated by how many resources you spend upgrading the building + Citizen count. The more you spend, the more your point will increase. So start upgrading those town hall/tavern/museum/bla bla ++.

Here's some tips and advice -

1. Follow the beginner guide : HERE.

2. Obtain informations about Ikariam : HERE.

3. Register at Ikariam boards and search for sims, tools and add-on. It helps.

<Next step is for someone who have atleast basic knowledge of Ikariam>

4. Don't build your army until you have atleast lvl 12 townhall and a colony. (Unless you get pillaged)

5. Move near fellow LYN players, it helps a lot on resource trading and protection.

6. At early stages, build 2 slingers and find inactives town to pillage, you grow faster that way.

7. Always aim for marble/wine at the beginning. ALWAYS.

Now you know why i calculate how many gold i lost per day due to upkeep. Its one of those days where you just dont have the time/will to open ikariam.

Upgrade your town hall. Every 5 level give you 1 action point.

You can have more than 4 colony lor.

You can pillage people for 6 time. Use this sims to calculate.

You should build ballista at your capital. Let the flamies stays at nearest colony. If you sees someone attacking you, calculate the time they reach and send your flamies 1 minute after they arrive. Make sure you have sufficient ballistas to extend the battle duration.

Yeah, but from what i read at the ikariam boards, it is working. If not, you need to report it or something. Upgrades do work because i have Both golden sword/shield for flamies and it work tremendously.
