why not? the GBA had three castlevanias too..... in fact, four plus the port of the original Castlevania NES. this will likely to be last Vania for the DS, lets hope they announce a console one soon....

not sure if u can find GBA vanias anymore in SG apart from the double pack that is. i got my CoTM from KL, BTS and it was the japanese import version just so u know.

my CoTM was first print of course, i think it was RM60..... had to play with the eng game script printed out from Gamefaqs!

i think the double pack would probably be around sing$35-39, i have seen some shops doing a two for $60 promotion that time if i remember correctly......

anyone knows what is the timeline for this game? koji san says it takes place after richter belmont loses the vampire killer whip so that's why there are no belmonts in this game....

so this should be after rondo of blood right? wait i can't remember if richter still carries the vampire killer in symphony of the night, it could take place after SoTN....

anyways koji has mentioned before he has the story of how the vampire killer whip ended up in the morris family (as seen in PoR & bloodline) drawn out in his head so i wonder would this will be it?

actually richter belmont was the last belmont to hold the vampire killer..... DoS is set many years into the future after the battle of 1999 where julius belmont is still upholding the belmont legacy. In fact, julius was the one to banish the count during the battle of 1999 right? This was explained in Aria of Sorrow i think.

No one knows how the vampire killer made its way back to the belmont bloodline btw SoTN and DoS....
this is the period where PoR was set in so that's why the morris family were keepers of the vampire killer during that time.

i don't think this is after DoS, most probably btw SoTN and battle of 1999, before the count was banished and....

anyone knows where to find latest issue of Nintendo Power and how much does it cost? me always buy outdated old issues but the latest issue featured Order of Ecclesia on the cover with tons of artwork and info.... won't mind picking it up now if the price is right, need my dracula fix. any idea guys?

kotaku confirms that the new Castlevania Wii will be a brawler entitled Castlevania Judgement, somehow the shot of Simon brawling with Alucard just reminds me of Vania 64.

back to ecclesia, Borders Curve currently have the latest issue of NinPower in stock (vol 230) which have a cover story feature on Order of Ecclesia, just got mine yesterday....inside IGA confirms that OOE character designer is Masaki, and not Ayame cos he didn't her artwork is suitable for the DS (not high-res enuf?) On the flip side, Michiru Yamane is composing the score for OOE .....

This issue is a keeper, 10 pages worth of Vania including a retrospective on previous Vanias with IGA's comment on each past Vania game!

if we are not getting a hardcopy disc of the OST from the amazon pre-order we are sure as hell not getting one from the gamestop pre-order as well. both store are offering the same pre-order girft la, why do u think gamestop ask for your email add as well?

and notice their site pic of the OST does not actually depict a hardcopy disc? i think both store are only offering a digital download of the OST unless i see a hardcopy of the OST disc surface somewhere...

gee u think? lets see what happens when the guys at gamefaqs/neogaf gets their copy.... i'm highly doubtful though and besides it's just a six-track disc.

neither the us version or japanese version of order of ecclesia is out yet, i think it's sometime in this month though.

as for portrait of ruin, i did hear that the game is a bit dodgy when played on r4, can't help cos i haven't played it myself.

last time when portrait of ruins was released marked the 20th anniversary of the castlevania series, there are a lot of new castlevania titles announced for this year and next but no major anniversary as far as i know.....

PA has yet to issue a release date for their stock so i really wonder if i'll get it before the end of October.

Not that i'm in a hurry to play it but i think with DoS and PoR dy out-of-stock in Pa, don't wanna take the chance with this one.

pen, didn't u read PA weekly updates? they expect it to ship next week...

personally, i think both AoS and CoTM are hard to top as far as portable vanias goes ..... DoS? didn't really see it as much of an improvement from AoS apart from the soundtrack being generally better.

u guys get my respect too, someone in console couch once noted that ps3 owners shouldn't brag about supporting ori because they really dont have a choice but nintendites here do it by choice. there's a big difference and most guys here do it quietly without acting holier than thou and lecturing others to do the same.... that's mature.

can't quite say the same about those "holy" ps3 fanboys.....
